1. He needs to use his brain before posting stuff...period.

2. In no way am I supporting what he said because it was very foolish (this is more of a general statement) people now a days are offended by everything! like you said we a a civilization have become wimps.

Maybe he can stop with the hashmarks period after this, they just make him seem like a wannabe with a major douchy streak. Let your play speak for you out on the field, if he does well, he won't have to worry about finding "respect."

Oh people are mad, and people shouldn't be. Imagine if people weren't as sensitive as they are this wouldn't be an issue but since it is everyone wants to talk about how Kap is mean and insensitive and he doesn't care about people who died etc etc, its pathetic really, I mean do people really believe that Kap thinks people dieing in a flood is funny?

Sure this day and age Kap should think a little longer before posting, but people should also think before they pass judgment some of the things people come up with blow my mind. I swear this Country has lost its damn mind lol.

I haven't seen anyone mad about the actual post. Who the hell cares?
There are more people questioning his maturity and his addiction to social media. It seems that he has a pressing need to answer all of his "haters" to a fault.
I just question his ability to learn his lesson.
See that's the issue I have, there should be no lesson. If your offended by things he has said you should lock yourself in a damn box.

He keeps doing the same s**t over and over and it seems he hasn't learned a thing, from picking fights with fans on Twitter to posting all sorts of inane rubbish and then people are shocked when he gets flagged out on the field for jawing with another team's player.

He's not 20 or 21 years old anymore, he's 27 years old, will be 28 before the season is over, the face of an NFL franchise and getting compensated well enough that he should start acting it instead of doing and saying outlandish s**t that you don't see coming from other QB's.

The lesson is that you're a professional representing an entire organization, either deal with that or pick a different career. Part of accepting a quarterback salary is accepting quarterback responsibility and leadership. The QB is supposed to be the mature, balanced guy, "solid as a rock", the one everyone on the team turns to, not the ultra douchy acting over-grown 12 year old.

Its not just that "things have changed", look at Kaepernick's peers, guys like Luck, Wilson, Bridgewater....etc, all young QB's, all present themselves as very mature, studious and professional. Do you see a single one of them posting something like this? Absolutely not. It comes with the job, you don't become a successful leader on the field, a top QB while being a complete basket case off the field.

You sound like one of the ones that should never come out in public lol (joking) He hasn't said anything that should be taken seriously, he apologized to the sensitive ones already lets move on. His past tweets were over blown more than this one so Im not understanding why anyone would bring those up?

Agree. He seems incredibly impulsive and may not have read the headline of a disaster picture...just saw it, thought it would be funny, and posted...bing, bang, boom. I'm not sure what it means for a celebrity to find it necessary to be on social media so much. Is it trying to circumvent the press by presenting himself via his own media? Or is it just a need for even more attention? The funny thing is that if he spent as much time on social media as folks think, he would be doing a better job editing. Seems likely he just posts when bored and finds it a fun activity...maybe someone should by him Madden.
I assume hes on social media sites for the same reasons we use them So now what celebrities should maybe lock themselves into a four cornered room and only come out when its time to entertain us? the way people act they might be better off.

I use Twitter to read the news....not to post stuff

The point is maturity and decision making. He wasn't mature or smart enough to realize that it wasnt a tasteful joke and would bring negative attention.

It's not a matter of sensitivity. It's about the qualities you want in a leader of a franchise.

Because its a pattern with him and this latest thing shows he still doesn't have a f**king clue, that common sense just may not be that common with him. Its getting pretty old when you see the way other young QB's carry themselves as professionals.

As exciting as he is on the field, he still keeps showing that he doesn't get it off the field and at some point it seems that there might be a connection between his meltdowns on the field and his inability to maintain his bearing and professionalism off of it.

There is a lesson, think before you say (post) something.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt

The fact that he's had a few online issues means (to me) he's not learning from previous incidents.

This site is an information-discussion site, his use of social media is more highlights of his life. If a guy repeatedly posts problematic stuff...maybe he should step away. If a guy is super sensitive...maybe he should step away. No one is trying to censor him...but I would like him to present himself in the best light and so far that's happened through the local media everyone seems to hate. Some very good articles about his charity work, etc. have been printed in local media.

You are overblowing the negativity. People aren't being hateful toward CK, they just want the guy to show his best side and when he does something immature it hurts his image and by extention the image of the niners. This being a niner fan site...you should get the link.

If you keep making the same mistakes over and over in one area, you probably have a failure to learn in other areas which is worrying about a QB who has tended to turn the ball over in bunches at times. A rational person by now would either have f**ked off of Twitter completely or hired someone with a PR background to handle all their social media postings.

Look, I like Kaepernick as a quarterback, and I appreciate what he brings to the field, but honestly I would probably wouldn't be able to stand him as a person. Haha.

wait, kap made a bad decision?

What are those few issues guys? The dolphins hat? The letting a guy know he wont be punk'd? I mean those shouldn't be in this discussion as far as im concerned. Unless im missing another tweet I don't see the problem.
