It is consistently said that he's the hardest worker on the team and first in last out and he doesn't get into trouble. That's what I care about and that's all any 'fan' should care about. Some of us personalize what he did as though it's a reflection of us as 9er fans.

Because like it or not, what he says and does is a reflection of the franchise as a whole. Its just a bad look period. Find me one other QB that keeps doing stuff like this on social media and repeatedly embarrassing themselves and their team as a result of it.

This, I will say this though he needs to delete his twitter if he does garbage like he just did, I give him a pass this time because I feel it was just a goof and I personally don't feel his other tweets in the past can be compared to his most recent one, the Dolphins cap didn't bother me matching cloths with shoes and caps is the style nowadays, and who really cares about him getting into it with a troll?
24 hours later, kool-kids Kaepernick bashers are still creaming their jeans over a stupid tweet for which he immediately issued two apologies and admitted to being insensitive and ignorant of the facts. And, the same people who are giggling, pointing fingers and laughing it up are accusing him of acting like a 13-year old girl.

Dudes! 13 year old girls get into little packs and go on and on about stupid tweets. Adults and serious people generally don't do that.

And please, please don't make yourselves any more absurd and embarrassing by trying to conflate this with what happens on a football field. You're just making fools of yourselves.
I don't think anybody is offended by what he's saying, it's more that he's embarrassing. The guy doesn't conduct himself socially/publicly as a starting QB in the NFL. His actions on social media scream for attention and demonstrate a lot of insecurity. IMO, I want a QB who's focused on his craft and the game. Seeing him address his haters and acting like a tool in interviews is just sad and pathetic. It's time to grow up.

Maybe, but NONE of us are part of the franchise. Also, what kind of 'stuff like this' does he keep doing? This was an error in judgment by not being aware of the issues in TX but to wholly say he keeps doing "stuff like this" is ridiculous.
I guess what really hit me with this situation is just the fact that our qb is just a immature idiot. It just doesn't take much awareness and common sense to realize you might not wanna self promote using a tragedy for the back drop. Then you follow that up with a topless pic of yourself. We all know only tools and total douches do that type of stuff. I honestly see why fans of other teams don't like him and the team after this. He's the exact opposite of Anquan Boldin and you just want you leader to be smarter and more mature than this. It's why Marino and Jim Kelly never reached their ultimate goals. They were party boys and just not as locked in as the other greats.

What issues? also I never said stop picking on him, I just think its silly people get all riled up.

Once again, people are making their feelings know, you've been the only one getting riled up with the "Leave Colin" alone rants to anyone who acts like he is anything less than a saint. People certainly have the right to express how they feel, as do you, I just don't see how anyone saying Kaepernick acts like a petulant teenager on social media is wrong in anyway, shape or form considering the countless examples of him acting like an overgrown kid we've seen. From "calling out the haters" to getting into Twitter fights with fans to other random acts of douchebaggery, its past time for him to tone it down.
Yes countless acts, like the many examples that you've shared with me lol again you say Im the riled up one, but your the one that's name calling. You need to relax bro and btw I take it personal when you tell me im all riled up, I expect an apology and your text be deleted immediately

Kaepernick needs to seriously reflect on the storms that his public statements bring. He has greatly improved his attitude in interviews, but he has failed to apply the lessons learned in that content to his use of the social media.

I have suggested various times that he just stop using the social media. I would also suggest that Kaepernick is not the only 49er that needs to strongly reconsider their use of the social media.

Colin Kaepernick, Jed York, and Anthony Davis should sit down with an independent media expert willing to chastise them for the stupidity of the their public statements.

But, sanctimonious carping about Kaepernick seems to exaggerate the seriousness of his transgressions.

Compare Kaepernick's transgressions to those of Aldon Smith, McDonald, Culliver, or Miller.

If you want to go back in time, compare the transgressions of Kaepernick to those of Eddie D., Haley, and Montana.

Posters willing to defend any of the above mentioned 49ers and ex-49ers really should not condemn Kaepernick. Criticize, yes, but condemn, no.

We also have to remember, he, like some of the other new star athletes have a 'brand' that puts a LOT of money in their pockets. Social media is the way these guys choose to market themselves and for Kaep and others it appears to be working. Capitalism folks.

Good god. Rothlesberger was attacking women in bar bathrooms, Vick was killing and torturing dogs, Cutler is walking down the street publicly flipping people off, Farvre was sending dick-pics to various groupies, Winston is getting away with sexual assault, and you guys are crapping your panties over a stupid tweet.

Amazing.

lol this.

that whole #7stormscoming is corny to begin with

Don't all grown men feel the need for a slogan, think up one that's dumb as f***, argue with people on twitter, and post pictures of themselves and their shoes collections?

I'm not real bothered by the Houston flood thing, it was stupid and a 27-yr old supposed adult should know better, but he apologized...done deal. As a player I've been what I guess you'd call a Kaepernick "defender", I think he's a very good, dynamic QB with untapped potential...but he needs to retire from the social media.
