It's like 'who cares?' Nobody has much to say about something he might have done right outside of football, but when he makes an obvious mistake, it's like a shark feeding frenzy.

I agree. Kap is just a polarizing figure. I blame the media for a lot of it. Imo it goes back to the tattoos and the instagram posts of his shoes and hats. The media also has painted a negative picture of Kap and ignored the positive work he has done with youth while at the same time sugar coating everything Russell Wilson has done in the same regard. Part of it could also be how Kap was told to handle the media by Harbaugh also in the past. Make no mistake though he can't keep making these types of mistakes. I agree with the Houston mayor and believe he should make some sort of donation to their relief fund.

You're fighting a losing argument. Perception is everything and Kaepernick has regularly put out a bad perception of himself on social media, he's made constant missteps, something that you would expect a person to learn from and correct but this shows that he has still yet to do so. Like it or not, a QB is judged far more harshly than an offensive tackle or a cornerback. You expect certain players to talk trash, you expect others to maintain an air of professionalism at all times, QB's are it, they are the superstars of the NFL, the last thing you want is the face of your franchise repeatedly sticking his foot in his mouth on social media. Whether what he posted is a big deal or not is irrelevant, it just continues a bad pattern of bad judgment on his part.

Kaepernick needs to either hire someone to handle all his posting or simply go cold turkey.

You might need to review some of Aaron Rodgers tweeting
This is what I mean by He (kaep) just doesn't get it..

He suppose to be the Captain and/or the face of this Franchise, but yet, he continues to do dome stupid crap like this almost every off season..

What is he gonna do next, wear a Limited Alternate Jersey of Rae Carruth because he just loves its color??

This bothers me as well. By all accounts he is a good guy who has done a great deal of good which is overlooked. I guess people expect it or think he's doing it for photo ops, but that's a very cynical view. I would love to see him learn to be a bit more discrete but so be it! I'm not going to bash someone for not being completely mature...would run out of people to talk to...including myself!

Good one! Still, it's hard for me to understand someone who thinks Kaepernick does the Childrens' Heart Disease camp and events for photo ops when it's been reported that the reason he funds the camp is in honor of his parents who lost two babies to the disease.
what is he supposed to do?

The Houston mayor? F*** the mayor! I wouldn't give anybody ish! It was a mistake! At this point I tell em all to f*** off! The mayor should check his own kids

Dealing in extreme exaggeration is not helpful. There are people who didn't like the tweet...get over it! People in Houston were very offended. Get over it. Thinking this over I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn't send a boatload of relief to Houston residents...just the dicotomy of his being human.

I agree. He blew it. He knows he blew it. I'll be surprised if he doesn't make some kind of effort to help people down there.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Kaepernick does something stupid and Kaepernick haters up the ante by making remarks about it which are even more stupid.

I wouldn't. Everyone outside of 49er fans hate Kap anyway just like folk hated Kobe. Lock in stay focused and unleash hell this season. Prove em wrong. Texas haters been bad mouthing Kap all year so what else is new. What Kap said was legal so he should embrace the hate. It ain't going nowhere but winning earns respect!

uhm,,, someone should tell the lesbian mayor she needs to pay attention to her own city, maybe have a better flood plan, maybe should have spent some money on drainage improvements

Lmao

JJ Watt gonna bring the 7torm on his knee Kap

A "Hall-of-Fame" Niners fan rooting for the Texans against our QB. The Hate is Deep.

I don't hate Kaep.. I never did..

Yes I was disappointed with his plays last year, but I don't hate the guy..

But this has nothing to do about his football skills and/or being a QB..

.... and as far as making remarks that is MORE stupid in your opinion, what is the difference between he's remarks and my remark???

And if you so much as imply that there is something wrong with their kind of fan, they have a hissy fit.

Because that doesn't fit into the narrative that hes a swag lookin sideways hat wearin thug and positive stuff is boring anyway

But that would get twisted into something like "well hes only helping because he feels stupid hes not doing it cause he cares"......
