people just have to realize its a generational gap and a cultural difference
he's not your typical clean cut, fair skinned, golden boy QB that you are used to.
he's young, athletic, and playing in an era where the things he posts on social media is very common...
thats just it...he's a product of the influence of hip hop in all it's parts, not the BS that an old guy like Bill O'Reiley would have you believe it is
but the fashion, the "swag", the hash tags...its just what people in this day and age who are into social media, sneakers, and other fashions are into it...
if you're older than 40 and not to make it a race thing, but aren't a minority...you will never understand it.
this doesn't excuse the Houston pic...but someone said a pic of him shirtless with a caption of "just livin"...yea well thats what people put on their stupid IG (Instagram) captions when they're out chillin...he was in Vegas for Memorial Day weekend, celebrating the birthday of a former teammate, he doesn't drink during training either so it is what it is...
PEOPLE say stupid stuff online all the time now, its like just part of the whole deal, it's unfortunate it had to be our QB, but thats just what it is.
Best bet is to just avoid social media altogether, but that won't happen.

The narrative is that he acts like a teenage girl trying to be "cool". He looks like an idiot--making up corny hashtags like #7tormscoming, talks about "haters" (a juvenile term if there ever was one), strategically positions headphones around his neck at press conferences to look cool. People do that stuff in grade school, and it's super embarrassing then. Even if he was 21 or 22 years old I'd probably look the other way or say he's gotta act his age soon. BUT HE'S ALMOST 30 for god's sake.
Any of my friends who root for other teams look at him as a joke. Not as thug. Not as a bad person. But as a teenage girl. And I don't want a teenage girl leading my team.
what is a thug exactly?
how does he want to be a thug? because he wears shades? because he collects sneakers? or takes group pics with other black men?
what have you seen of Colin Kaepernick that would lead you to believe he wants to be a thug?

u realize he posted #justlivin instead of an apology first right?
also, might be a good idea to not post that at all after the blunder he had just had....
posting it right away shows just how insanely unaware he is and he's 28, not some child

One thing that annoys me about this 'stupid tweet' conversation is that I've seen occasions around here when someone posts a pic of Kaepernick sitting with a bunch of children with heart disease, playing with them, making their days possibly a little brighter and there will be NO reaction; nada. It's like 'who cares?' Nobody has much to say about something he might have done right outside of football, but when he makes an obvious mistake, it's like a shark feeding frenzy.
Dealing in extreme exaggeration is not helpful. There are people who didn't like the tweet...get over it! People in Houston were very offended. Get over it. Thinking this over I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn't send a boatload of relief to Houston residents...just the dicotomy of his being human.

Man there is a huge generational gap going on here.
Btw, can anyone imagine what kind of trouble Charles Hayley would have gotten himself into if he had access to twitter back then??!?!

He is.
Have you ever heard of Aaron Rogers?
I'm not saying Kap = Rogers
But one of the MAJOR differences between Cal Rogers and GB Rogers is his throwing motion and release.

Im not talking about the guy your talking about and that's that he did it on purpose and knew that people died or that murderous thugs are the same as someone who writes a tasteless tweet about a flood, right Moon keep talking, you just make yourself look even more dumb, if that's even possible.
not according to 80ncleats..
... as long as Kaep gets us that 6th ring, he can wear Carruth's jersey and have a selfie with the Houston tragedy in the background, and all will be fine with 80ncleats!!

See bold. No idea how my opinion on a QB correlates to my behavior at the dinner table with my family. But since you inquired, I sit down and eat with them and enjoy good conversation. Thanks for asking!

Just so people don't get too confused around here, this is an actual thug. I don't know if he has tattoos.
