This is not a thug:

You sure that dudes a thug? looks like his woman smashed a iron to his face. Don't really get street cred for domestic disputes

Since he was one of the bikers arrested in the recent Waco shootout that left 9 dead, I'm going to go out on a limb and call him a thug.

You guys don't get it. The narrative is NOT that he's a sideways hat-wearing thug. Christ, I wish it was. He's not REMOTELY a thug even though it's painfully obvious he wants to be oh so badly.

The narrative is that he acts like a teenage girl trying to be "cool". He looks like an idiot--making up corny hashtags like #7tormscoming, talks about "haters" (a juvenile term if there ever was one), strategically positions headphones around his neck at press conferences to look cool. People do that stuff in grade school, and it's super embarrassing then. Even if he was 21 or 22 years old I'd probably look the other way or say he's gotta act his age soon. BUT HE'S ALMOST 30 for god's sake.

Any of my friends who root for other teams look at him as a joke. Not as thug. Not as a bad person. But as a teenage girl. And I don't want a teenage girl leading my team.

Yea I couldn't agree more with this post.

One thing that annoys me about this 'stupid tweet' conversation is that I've seen occasions around here when someone posts a pic of Kaepernick sitting with a bunch of children with heart disease, playing with them, making their days possibly a little brighter and there will be NO reaction; nada. It's like 'who cares?' Nobody has much to say about something he might have done right outside of football, but when he makes an obvious mistake, it's like a shark feeding frenzy.
Because that doesn't fit into the narrative that hes a swag lookin sideways hat wearin thug and positive stuff is boring anyway

Dealing in extreme exaggeration is not helpful. There are people who didn't like the tweet...get over it! People in Houston were very offended. Get over it. Thinking this over I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn't send a boatload of relief to Houston residents...just the dicotomy of his being human.
But that would get twisted into something like "well hes only helping because he feels stupid hes not doing it cause he cares"......

talk about teenage chick ^^^

You dont know anyone in the NFL to be acting like you know how or what Kaep does everyday....if you are upset at this..i wonder how you act at the dinner table with your family

See bold. No idea how my opinion on a QB correlates to my behavior at the dinner table with my family. But since you inquired, I sit down and eat with them and enjoy good conversation. Thanks for asking!
judging by your post i dont think that its all fine and dandy from their POV

..cause thats the topic going on right now...judging people by their posts on social Media...and if you and everyone else is upset at this..then i can only imagine how they are every minute of everyday

I thought that was self explanatory.

So you aren't concerned that this is another example of the guy's immaturity? Obviously he didn't mean to insult but the fact he couldn't think about the implications of his posts, regardless of his intent, doesn't bother you?

He didn't know the severity of the situation when he posted.

Exactly, who would ever expect that a 27-yr old adult would have any idea that flash floods in a major metropolitan area just might happen to be sorta serious?
Well the fact that you said MIGHT would suggest that not ALL floods are serious correct?

True, but maybe one should refrain from pimping their moronic slogan and "brand" using pics of cars underwater in heavily populated areas.

I hate to break it to you bub, but in his world he is cool. He's on GQ, Red Carpets, the hottest clubs, runs with an athletic and wealthy click and could easily hook up with chicks you and I could only dream of.

What was your definition of cool again...
