True, but maybe one should refrain from pimping their moronic slogan and "brand" using pics of cars underwater in heavily populated areas.

Seriously? Strong Strawman fallacy. Where did he say that any of those things were ok? he simply said to get over it, Kap said sorry immediately and pulled the tweet. Probably didnt know the people died, stupid mistake yes. Does that make him an idiot? No.

One thing that annoys me about this 'stupid tweet' conversation is that I've seen occasions around here when someone posts a pic of Kaepernick sitting with a bunch of children with heart disease, playing with them, making their days possibly a little brighter and there will be NO reaction; nada. It's like 'who cares?' Nobody has much to say about something he might have done right outside of football, but when he makes an obvious mistake, it's like a shark feeding frenzy.
Dealing in extreme exaggeration is not helpful. There are people who didn't like the tweet...get over it! People in Houston were very offended. Get over it. Thinking this over I would be surprised if Kaepernick doesn't send a boatload of relief to Houston residents...just the dicotomy of his being human.
You guys don't get it. The narrative is NOT that he's a sideways hat-wearing thug. Christ, I wish it was. He's not REMOTELY a thug even though it's painfully obvious he wants to be oh so badly.
The narrative is that he acts like a teenage girl trying to be "cool". He looks like an idiot--making up corny hashtags like #7tormscoming, talks about "haters" (a juvenile term if there ever was one), strategically positions headphones around his neck at press conferences to look cool. People do that stuff in grade school, and it's super embarrassing then. Even if he was 21 or 22 years old I'd probably look the other way or say he's gotta act his age soon. BUT HE'S ALMOST 30 for god's sake.
Any of my friends who root for other teams look at him as a joke. Not as thug. Not as a bad person. But as a teenage girl. And I don't want a teenage girl leading my team.
You dont know anyone in the NFL to be acting like you know how or what Kaep does everyday....if you are upset at this..i wonder how you act at the dinner table with your family
Who cares what your friends think about the qb on your team you dont know personally? Cause thats something a teenager worries about. Who cares about his style? Im not sure how him wearing headphones around his neck makes him a girl, if anything its something guys do for one and two he is sponsored by beats by Dre so he is making money off of it so jokes on you.
Why is something another man does embarrassing you? seriously? Your a grown man, I think, stop worrying about how another man acts, your only concern should be his performance, and him not getting into trouble.
Dont want to pull this card, but I got to call it like I see it, saying he wants to be thug because he dresses the way he does is bordering on racist, its just hip hop culture, something he probably grew up listening too and grew up around. I think its pretty teenage of you for judging an individual based off the way they dress. reminds me of sh*t people did in highschool.

See bold. No idea how my opinion on a QB correlates to my behavior at the dinner table with my family. But since you inquired, I sit down and eat with them and enjoy good conversation. Thanks for asking!
..cause thats the topic going on right now...judging people by their posts on social Media...and if you and everyone else is upset at this..then i can only imagine how they are every minute of everyday
So you're judging my entire personality and life, and assuming my family's impression of me, based on a forum post detailing my opinions on an NFL QB?
Just want to be clear on that.

no, i think most people are saying he's a very self-unaware person for someone who is 28....to post #justlivin w/ him shirtless moments after he just did a very stupid thing on social media shows just how unaware he is
its puzzling that he's 28 and like this....he's been raised by a good family and he seems to be a bright individual yet he seems to live in the cocoon of social media stupidity where ignorance is bliss and doesn't see the bigger picture
usually 28yr olds have this figured out

Guys. He's only 27 going on 28. He still needs time to mature.

Eh. Not that I expect you to look back on this mess but I am firmly in the "Kap needs to act more mature and make better decisions on and off the field" camp
Edit: But apparently we are a minority. Most people are cool with having one of the most immature starting QBs in the league. Ony QBs that are worse are Manziel and RG3.

Stopped reading once you insinuated I was a racist. Nothing I said remotely implies that at all, and I'm not whatsoever.

I said it from Day 1 - he needs an adult mentor.
Still, I don't believe there was any animosity on his part - just a guy who should tune into the real worls nad look before he leaps.
He'll be fine.
