It would be great to see if and when we do improve the short passing game...

this would pretty much complete Kaep's game.. there were times where he couldn't complete a simple slant to Crabb over the years and tho it was minor, it was really hurting our offense as well..

Kaps short game is one area im hoping for improvement, Kaps game has never really bothered me but his short passes the ones you need touch on hopefully all the work hes putting in will help this area, he needs to be able to throw the ball with touch everywhere on the field not just his intermediate to deep throws this is how you keep defenses on their toes.

It's been a point of emphasis during OTAs, especially with the RBs. We're definitely going to see an improved short passing game.

This is great info. I swear there was a game where Kap under threw an RB that was at most 5 yards away from him. It had to be one of the most uncomfortable/awkward throws I've ever seen. I wish i remember what game it was in.

Uh, most of these platforms weren't even around then, but okay, 2004. And between my wife, kids, nieces/nephews, friends, etc. who use social media, I see a lot of what's being communicated and it's pretty much exactly that.

Anquan Boldin has a pretty good Twitter feed going. Good stuff on there usually for 49er fans at least. I appreciate it

I get it, I know there are people who actually use social media for news & info. One of my sons is a HUGE Boldin fan and follows him, he says Boldin posts a lot about charity work and scholarships.
you know, prior to working out with Kurt Warner, I often say that one of the reason why Keap would have trouble with the short passing was that he threw like a baseball player..

I even remember posting how he stood there undwind his arm and then THROW!!! .. just like the Raiders old QB in the 80s in Marc Wilson..

He may be prone to an occasional brain fart where social media is concerned, but where football is concerned, he seems to know what he needs to do. After hearing what Bush had to say the other day and knowing Kaepernick works like a maniac on his game, I'm really excited to see him floating swing passes out to an accelerating Bush or Hunter. It's a new wrinkle that should make it harder on defenses.
Kaepernick, in general, is a pretty good guy.

Calling him a thug is f**king stupid. A "thug" is someone like Aaron Hernandez, Rolando McClain. I don't see Kaepernick toting a gun around. Heck, I don't think that he even smokes weed.

I know that people will never admit it, but I know race plays a part in him being disliked by 9er fans.

Also, Kaepernick is always the first one to congratulate anyone that scores a TD. Even if it's a RB that scores. He comes sprinting down the field to celebrate with them.

I'll take a stab and say it was the @NO game that had Brook's roughing the QB penalty. Gore was open and Kap made the throw much harder than it had to be. I'll try to dig it up. You tell me if that's the one you are referring to.

edit: I take it back. Kap was throwing on the run and the throw was catchable.

I bet there are some, but what do you say about people like Alex, Tebow, Brady, Manziel, Romo, Eli, Cutler, etc... Do people not like them for their race?

He is an NFL QB for god sakes. Every single one of them is scrutinized for every move they make. Not trying to stir the pot, I just don't buy this.

There were countless times last season that the HB swing pass was completely uncovered by the defense. And why should they cover it if the 49ers never threw to it? Teams were more worried about Kap scrambling up the middle than they were about Kap swinging it out to the flat. That needs to change and it looks like it will.

Every QB get's that though. Young, Rattay, Nate Davis, Shaun Hill, JTO, Pickett etc... The s**t our past QB went through is nothing compared to this. Remember "we want Carr"? I don't want to start a discussion on those two, but again to say nobody got the same attention is wrong. Every QB we have had since Montana has been scrutinized over stupid s**t. You think Steve Young said "get that monkey off my back" for no reason?

For some reason it's in our blood to scrutinize QB's. You know what they say, the best player on the field is the backup QB. Again I am sure there are bigots out there, but I think it has more to do with wanting the next GOAT. People expect a perfect QB, and have no problems pointing out every imperfection. If you're not Joe Montana, you are not very good.

Can't argue with that. The day we can all agree we have a great QB, that's the day pigs will fly. We are too busy looking for imperfections rather than just enjoying what we have.

As I've said in the past, I don't think Kaep is the greatest QB in the NFL, but I do think he has an ample amount of talent. It's hard for me to be negative towards him when he has done nothing but work his ass off to become great. I wish he would get off twitter, but I really don't care all that much.
