So Kaepernick throws the ball to hard and Luck and Wilson do not know where to throw it.

And that to me is just plain hate. And I don't understand why?
Kaps not out Manzeling it up, or acting like he's the best by not getting help.
I just don't get it.

Nobody will ever be satisfied until we have Joe Montana version 2.0. Its just always so easy for fans to blame the QB for everything. Sometimes that is certainly justifiable, but I don't think in this case it is. Football is the greatest TEAM sport there is IMO, and it takes everything working in order to be successful on offense, yet the smallest thing not working can f*ck everything up....for example: last year's offensive line play

One of the most common narratives around is The Regression Of Colin Kaepernick.
I am not convinced that this "regression" actually took place, although I will concede that Kaepernick's performance did fall off in 2014.
I think that there three major factors beyond Colin Kaepernick's control that hurt his game.
1. The 49er internal conflict
2. Being the second most sacked quarterback in the league
3. Having the 4th highest number of dropped passes and 2nd highest percentage of pass attempts dropped.
When I say beyond his control, I do not mean that he did not contribute to those three factors.
Kaepernick did take more sacks than he should have.
Kaepernick could have thrown a higher number of catchable passes and more passes that were easier to catch.
Kaepernick truculence with the media may have (or may not have) contributed to the 49er internal conflicts, but I am certain that his dealing with the media did not help reduce the conflict level.
There is no doubt that Kaepernick needs to improve his passing skill set.
Just as there is no doubt that Kaepernick knows that he has to improve his passing skill set.
In short, or is it in long, I believe that the regression of Colin Kaepernick is being both overstated and oversold.
Looking forward to the coming season.

Hello. My name has to be Nobody.
I have no interest in a Joe Montana version 2, or for that matter in versions 2 of Bill Walsh and Joe Montana.
At this point, I am interested in seeing version 1 of Kaepernick improve his game.
And I wholeheartedly from the bottom of my soul agree that football is the greatest team sport.

Alright, I knew I shouldn't have put "nobody." I should have said "most people" or "lots of people." I remember during the Alex Smith years, I worked with a lot of 49ers fans and during down time, we would always be standing around talking Niners. And most of them always were very quick to solely blame Smith for all of the team's problems. That has always frustrated me when fans do that. It just seems like it's people that have either never played football themselves, so they have no idea just what it takes to be a successful team; or they are just lazy and like I said its way too easy to just blame the QB.
I'm not accusing anyone specifically in here of doing anything (even tho I'm sure those fans do exist in here), just mainly stating an opinion in general about hating on a team's QB unfairly.

I understood your point and I agree.
At times, I just have a morbid sense of humor----or I make morbid attempts at humor.

So they can go right back to complaining about the same stuff they complained about regarding Alex?

He needs to take that next step of being smarter than the defenses he faces, only then he'll be able to really carry the franchise.
I do believe he'll take a step towards that this year, but still think he's about 3 years away from having that matrix moment.
A QB genius like you would know Kaep needs three years, or did your niece tell you?
Trust me dude I learned a lot about QB development from Alex Smith.
Now I see where you're coming from. It took Alex Smith seven years to get to post season and you apply that to Kaep. Very sound logic but you must have forgotten that Kaep went all the way to the Super Bowl in his first season. ...or that fact doesn't mean anything in your mind?
I afraid you didn't learn much about QB development from Alex Smith after all.

Do you actually think Kaep would have made it to the Super Bowl with any of the teams pre-Harbaugh?
