Kaep can throw deep, Alex was a dinker. Either way, our roster was still tailored for Smith. A bunch of intermediate specialists at WR. Enter: Torrey Smith, something we haven't had since Kaep has become starter, a deep threat with a solid WR skill set. Ginn, Davis had speed but no hands, and when we bring in DGB we will have Anquan Boldin on steroids. Thunder and Lightning baby. Kaeps projected stats: 25 TDs 10 INTs 3,800 Yds passing 400 yds rushing.

He needs to take that next step of being smarter than the defenses he faces, only then he'll be able to really carry the franchise.
I do believe he'll take a step towards that this year, but still think he's about 3 years away from having that matrix moment.
A QB genius like you would know Kaep needs three years, or did your niece tell you?
Trust me dude I learned a lot about QB development from Alex Smith.
Now I see where you're coming from. It took Alex Smith seven years to get to post season and you apply that to Kaep. Very sound logic but you must have forgotten that Kaep went all the way to the Super Bowl in his first season. ...or that fact doesn't mean anything in your mind?
I afraid you didn't learn much about QB development from Alex Smith after all.
Do you actually think Kaep would have made it to the Super Bowl with any of the teams pre-Harbaugh?
Kaep beat a pretty good Boise st team with players from Reno .........RENO !

Certainly not with that talent but I'm pretty sure he would've done better with what he had.

I think Kap took Alex's job after only a year and a half under center. That speaks for itself

A better TD / INT ratio can be the difference between a Super Bowl team and a 1 and done playoff team.

Harbaugh was good, the best the Niners had since SM. He saw how much better Kaep was when all the AS fans were still in their deep love-fest with Alex.
Harbaugh improved the Niners as a team and started the better QB in the team.

I think it should read,"Kaep took Alex's job after only a year and a half as a pro and after ONE start under center."

Yeah, that makes sense, because we traded for Stevie Johnson and Boldin while AS was still here..... oh wait.....

I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. Almost all his pics weren't about trying to force a ball into small window, it was misreading the defense or making absolutely bonehead throws - which I'm not ok with.

Kaep had 4 or 5 called back td this past year I think and some of those dropped passes could have gotten those extra yards
This is why I don't beleive he regressed...but just a setback

This one should have been a TD - two guys are open, he finds one of them and the other one knocks it away. That's not really a sign of Kaepernick regression IMO.
