This may be the Kelly-Baalke power struggle, if Kap plays and has a season ending injury, next year could very well be guaranteed to the tune of 14 mill.
He will be the #2 on Monday. If Gabbert goes down, Kap is in, period. RGIII is a RARE case yet people think we will see that here? Not happening

Their numbers are nearly the same in 2014 lol and that's with this organization and former coach in turmoil.
We will see how he looks when his defense isn't tops in scoring and carrying him anymore. Even over the last 5 years when the team needs to count on Alex, it doesn't turn out good (except the Saints game, he pulled it off once)
Let's see how Kap does this year. Let's compare stats after the first game.

Kap was just like Alex until he lost his allstar team. Alex will be on the bench when he loses his too

Uh huh. One is riding the pine one isn't. The one that isn't has Gabbert starting in front him. Would K. C. start Gabs in front of Alex given choice? Right. Didn't think so.

He already had half the defense hurt and his star weapon on IR. Yet they still made the playoffs lol

If he had a season to fall from grace with a bad team I could see it. You have to take into account Kap missed the offseason and half of TC and preseason. He'll be on the field at some point

Let's just compare on field performance. Everyone knows our front office is stupid right? Kap's salary would seem to reflect that. Highest paid backup ever.

Must have been a damn deep defense to carry the 30th ranked pass O that far

Isn't it funny how the Chiefs got off to such a terrible start last year? Wonder if it had anything to do with their D giving up over 20+pts/game.
As soon as they started locking down teams, they started winning games.
Alex isn't winning many games passing 20TDs a season. Neither is Kaep.

I agree with you, Baalkee is stupid.

Only a backup due to injury. Spin it any way you want.
He's the highest paid backup because no team on the planet would pay a QB that kind of money and assemble a putrid team and staff around him.
Weird how people play dumb around here, or maybe they're just trolling.

He lost all those games with all his weapons too. Doesn't matter if you give him a probowl RB TE and WR, he's just not good enough to hang when his defense gives up some points. Funny how people can't see that and are just enamored with his checkdown efficiency.

I just hope he doesn't try and sabotage Blaine just to prove himself right.
You really have to question how peoples minds work here.
It can be as simple as helping Blaine look at film on the sideline and letting him know what he sees, but knowing Kap, he'll probably sit and protest that too.
What do you know about him that makes you say that?
I know that he's rebellious. If he really does sit down and not help Blaine during game days, would it really be a surprise to people?
I thought I saw him helping Gabbert this preseason.
Joe didn't help Steve.
