Not sure about that. He seems to be gaining more and more support from the NFL players, teams and outside football. Surprises me...thought there would be more of a backlash. Maybe ticket sales and viewers will define his success or failure?

According to a report there were 70+ NFL veterans on a conference chat this morning talking about how they were going to protest. The NFL is in a TOUGH position. I don't think people realize how much 'blackness' and the treatment of black people means to these black NFL players.

I'm hoping that this turns the protest movement away from the radicals who tried to take it over and make it a legitimate discussion between local police and citizens. When national figures get involved for the purposes of their own it's very off-putting. Kaepernick just may accomplish a very positive result...I admit--call me shocked!

I may be wrong on this but leaders are not supposed to act the way he does, especially QBs. He got away with it when harbaugh was here to cover for him but now?

Physical talent will only get you so far

Oddly, he may be a much better leader away from football than at QB. He was one of the worst QB leaders I can recall. If it's an accidental hit for him...good for him. It seems to be forcing him to grow up, which is a good thing all around.

This isn't just a local issue. This is an issue nationally. Until then good cops, the DAs, their unions start policing the bad cops this won't go away. Kaep has done an outstanding job handling this in the way he has. He's been the ultimate leader. The only way change comes is when you create tension and this issue has caused a lot of that.

I actually think this will make him a BETTER leader of this team. Leadership is a trait and a quality that very few have. Leadership is uncomfortable, it's a risk and it's difficult. He's shown all of those traits.

Do we get practice reports after camp ends? Is there anywhere to read about them?

It might be ok. But again it might interfere with weighty social matters.

And yet here you are. Dude you're the worst, you guys talk about Blindfury yet you, gnhan, jeddiah are the biggest f**king trolls around. You're the worst though because you PRETEND to be level headed about the QBs when in fact you're the MOST biased guy here. At least the other guys don't try and hide it.

I understand it's not just local, but I believe the answers are local. Every city and town is different, as will the solutions be. Some cities have excellent relations and few incidents, others are just deplorable. LA had issues because, I believe, their entire police force lived in Simi Valley, isolated from the communities they protect.

The Dallas police chief made sense to me..."applications are available for all races" and I hope we can call on some of the local citizens to apply. The last part is paraphrased.

Agree totally with the last sentence you wrote and that's why I give CK much credit for making it an issue. I hate people not standing for the anthem or pledge of allegiance, but it isn't life threatening. CK may mature and become the leader we had hoped he would be.

Lastly, the NFL is in a tough situation. They have become the center of an issue not football related...so anti-Roger! He has no control and if he tries to muzzle the players he will lose big time!

Don't bring me into this s**t.

Kap sucks, and always has. He was carried by an All Pro team, plain and simple.

A level headed person would see this...

LMFAO, melt down much? I didn't even criticize the guy in my post.
