Not sure about that. He seems to be gaining more and more support from the NFL players, teams and outside football. Surprises me...thought there would be more of a backlash. Maybe ticket sales and viewers will define his success or failure?
According to a report there were 70+ NFL veterans on a conference chat this morning talking about how they were going to protest. The NFL is in a TOUGH position. I don't think people realize how much 'blackness' and the treatment of black people means to these black NFL players.
I'm hoping that this turns the protest movement away from the radicals who tried to take it over and make it a legitimate discussion between local police and citizens. When national figures get involved for the purposes of their own it's very off-putting. Kaepernick just may accomplish a very positive result...I admit--call me shocked!
