Kaep has some work to do. He did not look good at all in pre season. He was taking off and running with an open receiver running across the middle of the field. He looked indecisive when he did throw the ball (threw it into triple coverage). He was not confident whatsoever. Until his confidence begins to show, he will not see the field.
You mean his very first game? He didn't look good. Looked much better in his 2nd game, though. Neither Kaep nor Blaine looked all that great in the preseason.
why do you get so defensive? I'm a fan of Kaep too, you know?
I think if Gabbert begins to struggle in the next 6 weeks, we may see Kaep around week 7-9 which will be against defenses that would definitely help boost his confidence.
LOL! You and I are both CK fans but not good enough...we need to work on our adoration.
maybe I do need to work on that. I just try to be a realist, that's all. I've never bashed any of our players. I'm a fan of the team first and players second though.
We just need to be honest with ourselves. Kaep completed 54% of his passes in the pre season, had 4.9 ypa, had 0 TD's and boasted a 67.5 passer rating. He wasn't ready to start. However, I do believe he has a real shot at starting sometime this season. I do not believe Gabbert has instilled complete confidence in Kelly as of yet and he has had since OTA's to do so.
