Oh wait...
So glad the Kaep haters are suffering through this... Seahawks may have picked up a few fans tonight
Friggin Roman thought Kaep was a pocket passer.... he is not. The more he's mobile, the better he is. I STILL need him to get the ball to Vernon Davis.

So he can drop it????
Get it to Celik or Vance. They appear to want it.

Throwing short, dump offs, moving to buy time instead of run... Boring, efficient QB play. Exactly what we need.

Also had a few nice touch throws for a first down on 3rd and long and also on a 2nd and long to set up an easy 3rd down play.
He had a great game IMO.

New T-Shirt: Fap for Kap.
But seriously I think he looked good tonight in the pocket making reads.

Kap, although had mistakes this game, showed what we needed to see with the short passing game and going through progressions. Very good game to keep me hopeful he will improve to a quality starting QB in this league.

Yeah - not perfect yet, still looks a little jittery, but loved to see him put his off season work to use and make progress - definitely looks better keeping his eyes downfield, climbing the pocket, etc. Looks better :)

Definitely a good game for Kap. Hyde was pretty awesome too.
Kaep's footwork and pocket presence greatly improved from last year. Still a work in progress, but looked good in chunks today. Needs to build on this.

Agreed. This is just the beginning for him. You know what's going to stick out to him are the ones he missed on. This is why I won't give up on him any time soon.

I dont have a lot of patience for Kap this season. I really need to see him take that next step. I want to see poise, situational awareness and a willingness to take the four and 5 yard gain to move methodically down the field if necessary.
Poise is dependent on the offensive line being able to give him a chance to show poise. I am hoping they can.
The obvious statement is obvious.
However, part of poise is being calm when things are chaotic around you. Remember Eli Manning in the 2011 NFC Championship. We were in his face and in his backfield all night, but he was calm in the storm and delivered some beautiful passes. I couldn't believe how well he played that night. Go back and watch the game. That's an extreme example, but poise in chaos is possible.
Good example, Baas was on that team.
I am worried Kaepernick will have no time and the team will have a hard time evaluating his play. Starting over with Gabbert would blow. Hopefully the line starts to jell, the run game can keep teams honest, the coaches can put a game plan together than can help Kaepernick and he shows that poise and can shine.
Line Jelling- check
Run Game- check
Game Plan - check
Poise - check
How about that?!?!
Dilfer was about to have an accident in the front of his pants talking about Kap tonight....

A few more games like this will go a LONG way in restoring the fan base's confidence in Kap. Feeling pretty optimistic right now.
