Kaep did what was needed to win the game. He wasn't extraordinary or anything like that (wasn't put in that situation thanks to Hyde).
Onto the next game.

Wilson scrambles firs so that hit doesn't come and then looks.
Don't disagree with this at all. The niners have had luck when their DL and OLBs were patient and kept him in the pocket...even pressure from all sides.

Cosell has been working with NFL Films for longer than most fans on this site have been alive. He's asked his opinion on teams/QBs by the media all over the country because of his experience. His last name has nothing to do with it.
All pundits are humanly fallible and they have their biases. Cossell doesn't always use facts or examples for his opinions. I don't believe he played or coached football. He played basketball at Amhearst and then went to work with NFL films as a producer...not a football expert. He has worked as a producer for years but that doesn't mean he's an expert on all areas of football. Does he know a lot? Sure. But does he really understand every position and the nuances involved like a coach would. And a lot of coaches have no clue about QB play.
So taken in context, and lightly, he's an interesting guy most of the time.
You must not listen to him much. He always uses plays or examples for his opinions. He was hired as a producer but after decades of watching and analysing NFL film he is considered an expert by the media and NFL teams.
You can try to downplay his expertise by calling him a pundit like he works on ESPN sportscenter or something but that's not the case.

Exactly.
People can pick him apart and say he missed this throw and that throw but every QB in the game misses throws from time to time. Tom Brady missed a bunch in his game. Manning certainly missed a whole bunch. It happens to all guys.
Kap made key plays to keep our drives going and that led to Hyde doing his thing. Yes there were a few throws which he should hit but certainly nothing worth getting upset about. Hopefully he'll use those missed opportunities in a win as a learning experience and makes sure we don't make those mistakes next game.

Who cares what he said about Alex.
because you cant say he's right and then turn around and say he's wrong
he's either a good judge of talent or not
He can be right about all QBs, i really dont give a s**t.
In regards to Kap, he tries to minimize anything kap does well, its f**king annoying. Kap is far from great, but he deserves credit when its due.

put into what situation? lol
there were several horrible down and distances that he engineered us out of with his passing and running.
if a team is going to give up 6 yards a rush. you run the ball. the qb says let's run the ball. that is good quarterbacking.
every qb does what they need to do to win the game.

True, and the team gets the luxury to fix mistakes after a win.

He's been doing that to us for the better part of 10 years now. The same s**t he said before he's saying now.

I've listened to him for years and just disagree with you. He is very much like other pundits and I just don't credit any of them with the super natural powers of observation that allows them to analyze every play and player ,in every game the NFL plays. They are trying to do too much and it all gets watered down and becomes suspect...at least to me.
When I listen to a guy like Dilfer (or Warner, Theisman, Young, etc) talk about QBs do I assume he is correct because he was an NFL QB and has studied the position for years? Or do I judge him against what I have witnessed and have read from other sources? If the latter is true then I'm leary of his expertise. His uncle was a very bright man and I loved listening to him most of the time...but he was wrong most of the time as well. The younger Cossell is much better by the way...but not nearly as entertaining.

All passes were roll out or shotgun. None from drop back under center

The element that's the pundits aren't talking about is the offensive line. The passing attack called wasn't solely there to help Kap but to also help the offensive line since they've struggled thus far in pass protection.
Moving the throwing platform, play action passes, and quick throws do help the QB but it's also doing a huge favor to the offensive line which honestly I feel is more the reason for the passing scheme than Kap's abilities.
That's why I'm convinced the preseason offense with the starters was more of a stress test for the offensive line to see what it's capable of doing. The coaches saw that Kap had a lot of pressure when he did 5-7 step drops under center so the coaches knew they had to help the offensive line as much as possible to ease the pressure on them.

I think it's just a matter of time until Kap goes under center, play action deep to Torrey.
By rolling out or going shotgun, Chryst made it easier on the Oline and Kap.

Kudos to the coaching staff for playing to our strengths , it got us a lop sided win.
Hopefully they develop Kap under center slowly. Seems like Harbaugh might have started the transformation of Kap under center too heavily and early and stunted his growth/progress.

I think putting him under center has more to do with the lack of confidence in the oline blocking and picking up blitzes.
