Bags on Kap last year even admitting he doesn't know what the coaches are saying...and refusing to acknowledge that he was being put in really tough situations with poor OL play, slow receivers, predictable offense with deep drops...etc.

This time apparently he can't just say Kap played well and made key plays to keep drives going and mentions how coaches hid him.

He may be able to break down film pretty well but he's definitely biased and his comments make that very clear. And just like the rest of us he can only guess at who the reads were on a certain play.

Good point! He gets a lot of mileage from former coaches for never blaming their brethren. He's an expert because it's the players fault. A bit of hyperbole on my part but NFLN is the same way. Nolan was protected until...umm...he still hasn't been criticized. I guess it's understandable given the short term nature of coaches jobs.

I'm hoping NFLN starts hiring some decent ex-players. Can't stand to listen to Deion or Irvin. Maybe a former 9er...Rice? Craig? JT and his truck? Anyone but a Cowboy or an east coast guy.

yall watching tonights game? Both QBs are struggling. It's tough out there.

They need black helmets! Somehow black and gold doesn't make it.

Blame the NFL for that...they don't allow alternate helmets anymore..even throw backs....for....safety....reasons.

Just outline the numbers and names in thin gold bordering and they would be boss.

That would help quite a bit! I couldn't read numbers on these uniforms! Some of the players want to use them every week.
The black jerseys are bad ass.

P.S The way Kaep looked on Monday gave me an erection.

I agree. Wouldn't want gold bordering around the numbers. It's too 1996-2008 tbh. Out of style.

The numbers are hard to see, but people can suck it up for 2 games a year. If you're a real fanatic you can tell who the players are, at least on TV. Had no trouble telling apart McDonald and Celek.

This not sure why all the hate, I thought they looked sharp but it was a little hard to read the numbers. I hope they wear the more as long as we keep winning in them.

I don't hate them at all...but from a purely design perspective I agree with the gold border because you cannot change the helmet the whole thing looks unbalanced without something more than the swoosh to tie the top to the bottom. Gold cleats or socks would work great too...but the NFL wont let you change those either for vague stupid tenuous reasons they claim are safety related.
If Cossell had simply said that we didn't get to see certain elements of how well Kap has progressed as a pocket passer because of the plays that were called, that would have been justified. But he went beyond that to say and strongly imply that the coaches "hid" Kap without providing any evidence that they had any such motivation - that was speculation on his part. That shows a negative bias. If he had left out the talk about "hiding" Kap, I wouldn't have had much of a problem with most of the rest of the article.
