When people start over playing Hyde CK will have huge openings. It will also open up Smith, Boldin and any other WR. So much looking forward to tomorrow and beyond! Go Niners!

Hyde is the best thing to happen to Kap, takes a lot off his shoulders

Me too! I bet if the Niners somehow were to win the Super Bowl playing just like they did Monday night, lots of people would still complain about Kap and say he isn't good enough though

If the Niners can win with Kaepernick as game manager, they might continue to win with Gabbert as game manager.

A really good game would be much appreciated by kap...and he had a good start on the season last week. Let's keep her rollin'.

In my non-expert opinion, based on what I saw Monday night, I think Kap has improved immensely. I think some of it had to do with scheme, but he has also made significant strides in his play. Here are the main 3 things I saw:
1. Hips and base. When the pocket collapsed and he had to move around in the pocket, his hips remained perpendicular to the LOS. He also kept his base wide and more hopped around than ran around. This allowed him to remain in a throwing posture and take the time to find a receiver rather than have to turn on the burners. Previously, he often ran towards the line square with the LOS and he had no chance to get into position to throw and, therefore, had to run.
2. Internal clock. Kap used to have a very short timer and he seemed to panic after about 3 seconds when his first, possibly second read was not open. This led to hurried throws or him just tucking and running. Whatever he did in the offseason, it seems he has relaxed and the internal clock is not so quick to alarm.
3. Scheme. Ok, this is not really about his improvement, but more of how his skill set was used Monday. Let's face it, Kap is not a pocket passer like Brady, Manning, Big Ben, etc. But he doesn't have to be. Moving him around and getting him in the open is where he excels. This does not mean he needs to be a one trick pistol QB, it just means that he is suited for the type of game that gets him outside the pocket at times. It felt during the past two seasons that Harbaugh and Roman intentionally forced him to stay in the pocket, like a "learn by experience" type of scheme. We all saw how that worked out.
I admit, it was one game and we don't know how the rest of the season will go. That said, I am feeling pretty good about where he is and think that he will continue to make strides based on what I saw Monday.

Geep said that they had more passing plays ready to call for the game plan...but when they noticed the Vikes couldn't stop the run, they felt they didn't need to show anything more and just stuck with the run.
