Those weren't his fault. They hold on to those and we are looking at about 400 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs. He couldn't possibly have played any better today

Well a chunk of that yardage was garbage time. But I think Geep stuck to the run game too much in this game. Should have went to the pass earlier in the game.

he was doing just as well in the 1st half. just didn't call the shot plays and didn't open up the passing game until the 2nd.

Despite the outcome, I come away feeling fine about our QB and offense. Well, except for pass pro.

Kaep needs to stop moving backwards on his sacks. His "trying to make a play" mentality gets him in trouble still.

That kind of goes back to Pitt relaxing in the 2nd half

ever wonder why he's moving backwards? You probably already know but are choosing to ignore... which is totally expected from some in these threads.

not really. he was accurate all day they just didn't call the shot plays. called a lot of in tight formations and a lot of short routes which he hit. all of this was happening when the game was still close. we stuck with the run game a little too much we should have reversed the plan and used the pass to open up the run.

So much this. It's ironic that the often questioned Kaep came out of this slaughter as a bright spot and not as one of the weak points.

We need to go OL in the draft next year, early and often. We need to find people who can protect Kap.

Kap had a few nice moments but made several costly mistakes. Hope this guy shows up and proves to be a franchise QB soon, starting to lose hope.

This. O-line is the most talent starved unit on the team

I don't think this current o-line configuration will last the season. Martin, Devey, Pears....wow. This is a problem.

I have a hard time believing Thomas, Brown, Easton could have been worse. That's as bad as you can get.

Kilgore you beautiful son of a b***h, come back soon.

What mistakes exactly? I didn't see much outside of the one huge loss on a sack.

lol like what? He had a great game. Wouldve had nearly 400 yards and a 3rd TD pass without the drops. As it is, his QB rating for the day was 106.7. What else did you want? He was a yard shy of adding a TD run to his 51 rushing yards too.

He stayed cool and stepped up in the pocket despite another crappy showing by his OL.

Not getting rid of the ball, taking untimely sacks that gave us crappy field position?
lol

Only complaint I have about Kap today which may not even be his fault was that we didn't take any shots down field when the game matterd
