What mistakes exactly? I didn't see much outside of the one huge loss on a sack.

Not getting rid of the ball, taking untimely sacks that gave us crappy field position?
he got rid of QUICKLY
lol @ untimely sacks. you mean when they stunt and the rush comes right up the middle? lol

Kap's play was a bright spot. I get that most of his damage came in the 2nd half when PIT probably pulled back a little (not sure), but he was accurate and patient when given time in the pocket.

If kap plays like this going forward we will be fine offensively. I thought he looked poised and in control, dispite the pass rush and the adversity.

Despite the outcome, I come away feeling fine about our QB and offense. Well, except for pass pro.

Glad to see voices of reason in here! He played well considering the pass rush was on him immediately. His touch on short passes is night and day better!

Only complaint I have about Kap today which may not even be his fault was that we didn't take any shots down field when the game matterd
they waited way too long to open it up. as soon as kap showed that he was in rhythm we should have put those wr's out there and let him go to work.
defense can't give up 1 play touchdown drives though
but still

those end zone throws i believe were throw aways to be honest.
when we needed the throw on the 2 point conversion he threw it right in there to torrey.

Kaepernick is clearly no longer, if he ever was, a one-read quarterback.

After two games it looks like his work in Arizona did some good.

I am another that thought Kap played extremely will. As for abandoning the run sooner, I'm not as convinced that was the problem. No, we didn't run as well as we did against the Vikes, but there was movement in the running game. I thought that we ran to the right a little too much though. The problem is that the defense played like swiss cheese and we were put into a big hole very quickly.

The eye test tells me he's improved, but I'll wait and see. Last year he started off the 1st month completing 67%, and then tailed off.

If he continues to work the pocket and throw like he has, he'll be good for the season. The f**king o-line tho........

Webzone logic: Defense gives up 40+ points = QB made costly mistakes.

It's posts like those that make me want to delete my account on here.

Hopefully someone puts up a highlight reel of his completions as I'd rather not re-watch the game.

Jake get yo ass back to the Alex thread!

Other than the last week I haven't been there for months. Besides nice argument there. You can push me out when you get your mod powers....

Tell me with a straight face he didn't have most of his yards in garbage time. He had a great statistical game..especially since fumbles don't count against the qb rating.

That said, the OL looked bad..and he did throw one pass with some good touch on it...so that's something I guess.
