...That last play should've been a TD. But even if you gave him the TD, it would've been 29 to 10 Pittsburgh, and the game was essentially over shortly thereafter.

At that point, the guy had 119 YARDS ON 30 FRIGGN' ATTEMPTS! AND 1 SHOULD'VE-BEEN TD!!! THAT'S LESS THAN 4 YARDS PER ATTEMPT!!!

...Then he got some garbage yards when the game was already decided. Yay.

the 30 plays in a row we decided to call with 1 WR on the field has nothing to do with any of that
It's funny people are criticizing Kap because he got yards in "garbage time." Like its all his fault they were in garbage time to begin with? The defense, O line and offensive gameplan in the first half had nothing to do with it? Was Kap supposed to give up and just not make plays because it is garbage time? That would make a lot of sense, then I guess the haters would be happy? Lol no matter what he does, he sucks, he is terrible, everything negative that happens to the team is all his fault! Hell, Aldon Smith's latest episode of stupidity is probly Kap's fault too! He probly also made Borland and Willis retire!!!

You don't even have your non-sequitur correct there (Goff), but keep on making excuses for him. I guess having a bad OL = being a great QB in the eyes of a Kaepernick fan.

Maybe you should pick up a another team bro. A team without a QB like...ahem...like....Kaepernick?
NinerSickness lol you hella dumb. Sowwy.

Feel free to be a fair-weather fan, but I'll stick with the Niners regardless of how bad the QB is.
Good times right here on the webzone... still better days compated to when I would come on here and read all the complaints about Rattay and rag tag groups of qbs we had back when Erickson was coaching here.

Life's too short, if you're preference for QBs isn't for...ahem..one like Kaepernick then maybe follow a team that will make YOU happy.

Classy.
Kaepernick is the most exciting quarterback when the team is go down by about 24 points. His cannonballs looks great when opponents plays loose in defense. His biggest strength is unleashed.

this is a dangerous situation, because a mediocre performance by the QB, that helped to the opponent to establish a big lead (among other factors, eg. a bad defense), is forgotten by statistics that were inflated late in the game, when it was already decided.

Agree. It's not about the stats, win or lose. Just watching the game, he played well and made nice reads.

Ok course he did. In the NFL you don't go north of 300+ yards and hit on 70% of your passed without working reads and get the ball out when protection allows it.

There is absolutely nothing "homer" thinking kap was fine today, because he was. Having said that, of course he still needs to clean stuff up. One way or another, the read zone has to get fixed. 2 17+ play drives for 3 points is terrible and ultimately that falls on the QB. But like I said earlier, I'm encouraged with the way the offense played in the second half, there was done explosion there even with out their lead back most of the time.

Another Aussie here, I don't pretend to be an expert on QB play. But,anyone could see that Kap did well to make any plays at all with that crappy O-line. The defenders were all over him as soon as he got the ball, even worse for the RBs. He also didn't make the recievers fumble. I think he can hold his head high.

Nobody is glorifying his statistics. We all saw the game. Kap didn't put us in a 26 point hole. He didn't drop passes. He didn't blow coverage or protection assignments. He did what he could.

People expect him to make plays out of thin air when the o-line is getting dominated both in the run game and pass game. The defense gives up completions of 59, 56, 48, 41, 35 and 28 yards. But yeah, let's trash Kap for the next week, it was all on him.
