I got the drops from PFF, and they are known to favor the receiver when considering drops

They show Miller with only 1 catchable ball out of 2 targets.

My internet connection was terrible this week, and I did not see the play, so I cannot even begin to guess.

You're lucky you didn't see it. All Miller has to do is continue to hold the ball as he falls down out of bounds and he can't seem to do it. Perfect throw - catches it - takes a step - falls down - loses the ball - NO TD.

My internet connection must have run by some dude from Pittsburgh. I got to see every big play by Big Ben. When the 49ers had the ball, nothing but buffering and lost feeds

One thing I noticed for sure is Kap's touch on the ball has gotten better. Especially on the 4th and 1 to Vernon. He laid it out perfect to him. Still has a lazer and I feel that he has learned when to use it now instead of all the time. Even the Bruce Miller TD to be was perfect. It's sad how our skill players aren't helping him.

I don't think that's going to happen a lot. The key, IMO, is that Kaepernick really is progressing. I think he's going to end up making this offense run real well this year. I'm encouraged because he got almost no help and still had a decent game, but also because he's just starting to show a lot of the little things people have been hoping he'd get into. Yes, that soft floater he laid over the linebacker to Davis was a great example - very nice short touch pass.

So it was Miller's catch? If so was he also credited with a fumble? No, don't see a fumble listed for Miller. To me it was a bad call as he had control in and then out of the endzone.
In his first two games this season, Kaepernick has a 69.4% completion ratio.

My favorite pass from Kaepernick in the past couple of years. Such a nice arc and right over VD's shoulder.

No kidding. That was a TD. I don't even understand the call if the receiver has possession before he goes OB, which he did. Still, the fool should have held on to the damn thing.

You can't fumble in the endzone

It's a weird rule because I see guys catch the ball in the endzone and almost immediately spin the ball on the turf celebrating the TD, all in one motion, and it's ruled a TD. The dude can possess it for a fraction of a second in some cases, and in others they choose to enforce the "process of the catch". Rule needs better interpretation and consistency.

However, he was out of the endzone when he fumbled and I've always seen that as a catch unless he was juggling...which he wasn't...until his foot had already hit out of bounds and the ground caused the non-fumble...hmm...think I'll watch that play again...no...maybe not! LOL!

The rule changed though. It aint a completed catch until he secures the ball after falling to the ground. Stupid rule, but it is what it is.

Yup, stupid rule. Common sense says TD, rulebook says incomplete. Just have to deal with it.
