There is an element of truth to what you say, the fact that most of his good stats came late in the game.
However, he played with heart throughout the game, and that's all you can ask for when everyone else (incl the coaching) was bad.

There's not really an element of truth to what he said. People keep discounting his 2nd half production saying we were out of the game, or the Steelers were playing vanilla defense. Not true.
The Steelers were running the exact same defense in the 2nd half as they did the 1st. They were not in soft coverage, and they kept bringing pressure. Kap was pressured on 47% of his dropbacks in the 2nd half and made play after play. The game may have already been decided, but he made plays against a defense that will still competing hard.

That is the thing, the Steelers were still blitzing and playing their usual defense. Only in the last possession did they get some what conservative. The passes Kap completed to White and Smith were amazing as the Steelers had tight coverage. I hate people saying they just went vanilla when that isn't true at all. Also, did you guys see we had the most success when Kap was out of the pistol and doing those play actions even when the RB was on the other side? Those are still effective and we need to use more of them.

no they make them Hall of Famers...
this forum has become a joke for a long time now. You encourage trolls to continue to troll when instead of getting them the f**k out of here, you put them on the same pedestal as members like Marvin and other members who truly contribute.
imagine new 9er fans seeing b******t from trolls...new Aussie fans being trolled by "HOFer's" like Valrod in the Hayne thread.
what the f**k kind of representation of the forum is that? Hurts my head trying to comprehend it.
It's trolling because I don't think he should be out there yet? Mmmmkay

Quick passing offense, screens...etc, are all kind of their Achilles heel. Get rid of the ball quickly, keep the chains moving, line up quickly...etc. Last year they pretty much had perfect offensive playcalling against them in the first game, moved the ball at will using a no huddle approach and then they got away from it inexplicably.

They didn't get away with it, the Cards just adjusted. And then of course Boldin had to kill one drive with a stupid unnecessary foul penalty. I don't just want those short completions, I want to mix it up with some big plays.

Yes, but that's an ENTIRELY different narrative than what people were saying after the game. They said it was garbage time stats facing NO PRESSURE. That is blatantly FALSE. He faced way more pressure in the 2nd half, both in total pressures, and pressures per dropback.
Truth be told, we should have put the ball in Kap's hands and had him air it out sooner. The game would have been a shoot out.
Here's the question. The pressure in the 2nd half..was it in the 3rd or 4th or fairly distributed between the two?
The only thing I can think of is that we should have gone away from 7 step drop backs and kept it short. Didn't seem like we had a good counter for the pass rush.

We went short in the beginning its what screwed us. Pits secondary was thier weakness and we game planned against their strength at keeping it short which was stupid
