I think they have Iupati coming back this week and let's just say he isn't the fastest at recognizing a blitzer running past him.

Not downplaying AZ but let's not pretend that they have been playing high-powered teams so far this season. They beat NO who are in decline and they beat the Bears who are the worst team in the NFC North.

I think we need to let CK do his thing this year. He looks good out there. We have the speed on the outside. While looking at the schedule, it looks like we may find ourselves in quite a few shoot outs anyway, so why not?

It is quite obvious that we can not lean on our defense anymore, therefor we can not lean on our running game. We should go full BW style. Blow the top off of defenses in the first half and gash them with the ground game in the second half.

makes sense to me. it should have been like this for 3 years now. they keep saying let a ferrari be a ferrari let's see if they practice what they preach and try and go out there and kill opponents.

Exactly. Those red zone woes are inexcusable. You have the best dual threat QB in the league. Why are we not running play action boot legs down there by the goal line? Anytime Kaep presses that LOS, it puts tremendous pressure on the defense.

We saw the blueprint. Kap is Big Ben 2.0
Our offense should actually mirror the Steelers. We have just as much speed at every position.. actually more when you include the tight end position.

It's becoming pointless to reason with members about Kap. He accounts for 400yrds of offense against the Steelers, and has a 70% completion percentage for the year, with no INTs, and is somehow one of the worst QBs. It's too bad that he doesn't protect the ball as good as Luck....

Yea I'm not even focused on that anymore. I want them to let him loose. Unleash the storm upon this league.

We go as he goes. All he needs is a LITTLE help. Just a little help from other people.

Just finished watching the game film - CK did a pretty good job - I think we all figured that from his numbers. His throwing motion is a lot quicker, really helps on the shorter passes. A couple things he really needs to improve upon: getting the ball out quicker when we're running crossing routes - several times, our receivers could've turned it upfield had they caught the ball sooner. Instead, they were 5 yard gains and put our receivers in a place where they nearly got blowed up.

2nd - he's gotta improve his red zone fade throw. He still looks like 2012 SB CK.

100% agree, He really needs to put more touch on those throws

One step at a time fellas. You can't argue against the fact that he is leaps and bounds better than he was last year. Them anticipation throws and fade passes will come in due time.

Yup. And i have no problem with SB Kap. 370 total yds, 2 tds, and 29 pts? Sounds good to me. Kap was actually even better in that game than the stats indicate.

The game plan against the Cardinals aggressive defense has to be to take some shots down the field early on. If not, then they will continue to blitz and get away with it.

How did you know that wasn't the plan last week? That plan quickly gets put to bed when the o-line s**ts the bed.

I disagree somewhat. He's played the best he's ever played and just needs a moment longer in the pocket (c'mon OL!) and all will be well. The one thing they could do for him is move him out a bit more. But I do not want to see him running for 100 yards every game just because he can. That's a losing propositon in the long run...as in injury or lack of development of the rest of our team.

Agree with all of this! The hesitation throwing those crossing routes will disappear as he continues to have success. As for the red zone passes...it seems to be a matter of not wanting to throw an interception. A couple of them were out of bounds. This too will improve as he gains trust in the WRs in that area. He almost connected with Bell on a nice pass but it was just a bit too high. Bell is 6'6" and will be a good RZ target once they zero in on this type of pass.

there would be articles about trade partners for him and all of that s**t already.

I wonder if the colts message board is questioning whether or not Luck can read a defense or not?

You must be white then. Seems that word offends white people more than it does black people. But I'll tone it down. Get carried away sometimes.

But you're right, I bet half the Colts' board isn't asking for them to give the backup QB a try or talking about drafting a QB in the next draft. And Luck hasn't taken his team to the dance yet and routinely gets blasted out of the playoffs early. But he can put up multiple 400 yd games and multiple touchdowns per game (with multiple INTS) and that makes it all better.

Yeah, that damn Fantasy Football.
And also there's this meme that, "We can't let Kap run it all the time because he'll get hurt." Look at all the QBs who are injured. They aren't exactly the most mobile out there. Everyone keeps pointing to RG3 as the sole example when it was not his running that's the problem, he was just reckless.

Yeah about that...while I loved the beastly shoulder down along the sideline in the Vikes game...that is enough of that Kap. We know your tough...no need to show it on purpose. K? Thanks...

Sincerely...your team, your fans, your family and the NFL concussion lawyers.

Actually, it only offends black people when white people use it. White people just don't want to get caught up in any of that crap because it's bad enough that all of us white people are looked at as racist rednecks these days. So it would be respectful if no one used the word or any other form of it, no matter what race they are.

When i say unleash it has absolutely nothing to do with running the ball. I mean get into obvious passing formations and letting him run an uptempo offense. Every single point in his career he runs the uptempo spread offense out of the gun excellently. How much longer do we need to realize he's really good at it? It's all Tom brady runs throughout the game. Peyton struggled under center after shotgunning it so long. No run designs I'm saying put the speed out there with hyde or bush and then let him pick a defense apart.

It makes the most sense too because the line absolutely protects better when we spread em out as well.

Seriously.

It's just so funny that all we heard last year, from the dips**ts, was how bad CK was for not being able to throw check downs, or passes with touch.

Fast forward to this year, CK is "dumping the ball" off nicely to his checkdowns and "taking what the defense" is giving him. But, in the Steelers game day thread, I kept reading how Kap was playing s**tty because his YPA, after 20 passes, was only 4yrds. Nobody was saying anything about the WRs,TEs, and RBs not making plays after they caught a pass.

Most of the "naysayers" can't even admit that CK looks better than last year.

I get it guys, CK isn't the type of QB that you want on your favorite team. I understand that he acts like an idiot on social media. And dresses like a teenager, wearing stupid ass beats by Dre headphones everywhere, and collecting Jordans.

It's ok to say that CK, off the field, annoys you. Just Don't let those antics skew your judgement of him on the field though.
