At some point you have to just make plays and creat things with your talent and take games over to get the wins in the big moments of critical games. Kap has done it in the past, I hope he figures out a way to make them consistently in the future.

Look at Roethlisberger's stats once they changed offensive coordinators to Todd Haley. The past 2 years he has 9500 yards passing.

Is this an example of "the offense"?

Ike. big ben is having the best run of his entire career as a passer because of haley's system period.

Awesome, you will get no argument from me about that, that's great that Haley has done wonders for the Rapist, but at some point, that guy has made championship winning plays on his own by making great plays at crucial moments of big games no matter what offense he was running, just
As the midget and other various QBs . That's all I'm saying. At some point I hope Kap gets to that level.

Totally worth all those picks. I hope Baalke is as smart as the Redskins brain trust and trades away all of our picks to make sure we get who we want...

but your point doesn't stand. ben himself said he played horrible in the 1st super bowl. if not for the bus and the defense they lose.
2nd one harrison returned one 90 yards to end the half to lift them to victory.
the defense and lynch lift wilson up. the defense outscored the broncos offense in the super bowl.
where is the play like that for kap?
where is the kap has 3int's but the rb and defense and special teams put kap in a position to win?
it doesn't exist.
he doesn't even need MUCH. not even much.
if 2012 defense plays like 2011 that run is a cakewalk.
if that 2013 offense is like 2012 that run is a cakewalk.
at some point someone else has to step up.

kap sucks??

Told you guys this dude is a major hater of Kap. Just doesn't like the kid for whatever reason.

He praises Russell "one-read-cant-beat-teams-when-they-score-24-or-more-points" Wilson tho.

Speaking of which...Wilson is 2-11 (inc. playoffs) when opponent scores 24 or more.

Kap is 6-9.

Pretty much every QB is under .500 in this scenario. The closest to .500 is Brady at 41-42.

Roethlisberger had several +4000 yard seasons before Haley showed up.

Can you provide a link to him praising Russell?

And I've listened to two interviews of him this week talking about Kaep and all he's really said is he played well but not as well as those stats would indicate.
This game is on the secondary and schedule.

Horrible coverage.

Horrible coverage.

Agreed. Defensive plan was to put a first year player on him? I know he's not a rookie but he's inexperienced. Just awful performance by the secondary. Our front 7 didn't do any favors either.

And don't get me started on the schedule. Cruel joke to put the latest Monday night west coast team on an east coast early Sunday game. Bushleague NFL tactic.

I think we need to let CK do his thing this year. He looks good out there. We have the speed on the outside. While looking at the schedule, it looks like we may find ourselves in quite a few shoot outs anyway, so why not?

It is quite obvious that we can not lean on our defense anymore, therefor we can not lean on our running game. We should go full BW style. Blow the top off of defenses in the first half and gash them with the ground game in the second half.

makes sense to me. it should have been like this for 3 years now. they keep saying let a ferrari be a ferrari let's see if they practice what they preach and try and go out there and kill opponents.

Exactly. Those red zone woes are inexcusable. You have the best dual threat QB in the league. Why are we not running play action boot legs down there by the goal line? Anytime Kaep presses that LOS, it puts tremendous pressure on the defense.

We saw the blueprint. Kap is Big Ben 2.0
Our offense should actually mirror the Steelers. We have just as much speed at every position.. actually more when you include the tight end position.

It's becoming pointless to reason with members about Kap. He accounts for 400yrds of offense against the Steelers, and has a 70% completion percentage for the year, with no INTs, and is somehow one of the worst QBs. It's too bad that he doesn't protect the ball as good as Luck....

Yea I'm not even focused on that anymore. I want them to let him loose. Unleash the storm upon this league.

We go as he goes. All he needs is a LITTLE help. Just a little help from other people.

Seriously.

It's just so funny that all we heard last year, from the dips**ts, was how bad CK was for not being able to throw check downs, or passes with touch.

Fast forward to this year, CK is "dumping the ball" off nicely to his checkdowns and "taking what the defense" is giving him. But, in the Steelers game day thread, I kept reading how Kap was playing s**tty because his YPA, after 20 passes, was only 4yrds. Nobody was saying anything about the WRs,TEs, and RBs not making plays after they caught a pass.

Most of the "naysayers" can't even admit that CK looks better than last year.

I get it guys, CK isn't the type of QB that you want on your favorite team. I understand that he acts like an idiot on social media. And dresses like a teenager, wearing stupid ass beats by Dre headphones everywhere, and collecting Jordans.

It's ok to say that CK, off the field, annoys you. Just Don't let those antics skew your judgement of him on the field though.

now that you mentioned it...it does seem like he has toned down the off the field persona a bit.
