It's amazing how he's getting the benefit of the doubt. Was is o-line as bad as Kap's last year?

Luck's offensive line is better than Kaepernick's offensive line this year.

The Colts offensive line has a Pass Blocking Efficiency Rating of 75.8; 20th in the league
The 49er offensive line has a Pass Blocking Efficiency Rating of 69.2; 31st in the league.

Kaepernick has a passer rating of 98.1; Luck a rating of 58.9. Kaepernick has the 12th best passer rating; Luck the 2nd worst.

Kaepernick has completed 69.4% of his passes. Luck has completed 54.7% of his passes.

Kaepernick has thrown for 500 yards; Luck for 493.

Kaepernick has averaged 6.9 yards per pass attempt; Luck 5.7 yards per attempt.

Kaepernick has 2 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions. Luck has 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions

And the narrative goes:

Luck is a football god incarnate!!!!!

Luck has thrown for more touchdowns; he is better than Kaepernick!!!!!

Positive comparisons of Kaepernick to Luck are pure homerism!!!!!!

Don't forget, Andrew Luck has Gore too.

I like both players a ton.....it's appears that Luck is going through a stretch like kap had last year starting with the thanksgiving game. All young QBs have stretches like this, lucks gonna be fine just like kap was gonna fine.

I have no problem with Luck. Quarterbacks, just like people, have their ups and downs, their good and bad days.

Luck will have, I believe, a good season.

I do have a problem with the discrepancies between the narrative on Luck and Kaepernick and their actual production on the football field.
The narrative insists on ignoring their production.

Looking good so far!

I think he shines against the cards. We saving his best plays against division rivals. Plus they talking s**t about Kaps progress

There's something in the media called a "narrative". That's when media sources regurgitate the same information so much that perception becomes reality.

kap sucks??

Told you guys this dude is a major hater of Kap. Just doesn't like the kid for whatever reason.

He praises Russell "one-read-cant-beat-teams-when-they-score-24-or-more-points" Wilson tho.

Can you provide a link to him praising Russell?

And I've listened to two interviews of him this week talking about Kaep and all he's really said is he played well but not as well as those stats would indicate.

I think I downloaded (from here probably) an audio link where Cosell says he spoke with a few respected NFL offensive coaches (and GMs too I think) with a ton of experience and name recognition who feel that Wilson is a slightly above average quarterback, and "would laugh at the idea of him being better than Andrew Luck".

Cosell being neutral in that he won't get behind that, but you know what, I'll take the messenger part!
One thing about CK, is even if we are out matched I still feel like he is the ability to take over a game and dominate. He doesn't do it often, but if he gets going he is one helluva force

Agree...I could see Luck getting the benefit of the doubt due to his draft status but at some point it should level out and he should be compared fairly for play on the field. The excuses I see for Luck--OL, WR--could easily be said for Kaepernick as well.

Kap really shouldn't be on that list. His contract is very different.

His agent must be commanding big dollars because obviously he's a hell of a negotiator. Obama should have kicked John Kerry to the curb and sent Cutler's agent to Iran to negotiate the nuke deal.
KAEPERNICK: I would say the biggest thing is I'm being asked to be myself this year. I don't think anyone knows how to be myself better than me. It's a comfort zone. It's a situation where I'm not being asked to do things outside of my character.

Q: Do you feel like you were asked to do things outside of your character?

KAEPERNICK: Outside of how I would normally handle situations, yes.

Q: Meaning, to be more specific, being in the pocket more? Not getting outside? Is that what you're getting at?

KAEPERNICK: No. I'm getting at that I was asked to do things outside of my character.

is he talking about Harbs and how to handle the media?

I agree, in the NFC Championship game against Seattle he put the team on his back. His early returns this year show a more mature QB looking downfield. He hit 10 different receivers against the Steelers, that doesn't sound like a one read QB to me. If we had scored on those long drives against the Steelers it's a different ballgame. The BEST is yet to come.

It's still at its full-worth over $100 million dollars, which is the point that list is making.

Confused by that whole exchange. Kap ended up walking off the stage. It seems like he wasn't talking about football. Perhaps he felt the questioning was trying to lead him to bash Harbaugh or Roman, and he just walked off the podium to avoid any more questions. Whatever it was, he wasn't comfortable with the questioning.
