I accidentally had it on CSN Bay Area while I was finishing up some work and I heard Jim Kosimore talking to Ann Killion about Colin Kaepernick. To hear her talk he doesn't deserve the rave reviews he's gotten to this point. He continues to fail in the red zone but Derek Carr got it done. Missed the pick he threw right before the TD pass Ann (of course it was wiped out by a questionable holding call)? Oh yeah there was the pick he threw right before on the previous drive that if Trestman knew how to use the clock should have won Baltimore the game. Why are you even comparing the two? Colin has road playoff wins and taken his team to a SB but she likes Carr.

Colin played well in complete garbage time she said. Did anyone watch the game because this person obviously didn't? The Steelers didn't drop back into a zone coverage and rush three. They were still scheming, blitzing and playing awfully physical but because the score was what it was it doesn't count. Stupid. I should be more careful what channel I leave it on. I don't read blogs or articles, I don't watch the NFL Network or ESPN anymore and I have been much happier. I'm the first to admit Colin played like crap last year and didn't progress the way I expected and I questioned if he would be able to improve enough this off-season to be our franchise QB.

After watching the first two games this year I'm excited and I see a lot of improvement over the last two years. I hope he goes out and lights AZ up. Please Colin shut these know nothing twits up. They are hoping you fail. Hell half our own fan base is hoping you fail. I'm a 9ers fan though and I don't care if you say two words in your press conferences because these local beat writers suck and are hoping you pove them right. Just worry about this week. Play another clean good game and get the win. I'm pulling for you and hope you shut them up one week at a time. Ann Killion please go do something else. I know you like being on TV and hearing yourself talk but you are an idiot and if you like the Raiders so much better stay in Oakland. You know nothing!

I don't get all the love for Carr. Did he play well last game? Sure he did. I was impressed with some of the throws he made. But all this talk around the Bay that Carr is better than Kap. Please. Not saying Carr won't end up better, but Kap is 4 - 2 in the playoffs, one big game after big game. Until Carr even sniffs the playoffs don't talk to me about him being better.

There is just a serious hate-on for Kap for some reason. I like you don't listen to any sports talk anymore. It too has made me happier and allows me to disconnect from the game a little.

It's because Carr has the "look" of the typical franchise QB. People blasted Jawarski for saying that Kap has the talent to be the greatest of all time, and I don't disagree. It's just a matter of him putting all that talent together.

And what kind of "look" is that suppose to be?

Are we treading on the race issue? Is it the tattoos? Is it some ethnic thing? It is probably a combination for many.

How did he "make fun" of people dying in the floods?

I know that it makes people uncomfortable to talk about, but the color of his skin, the tattoos, his behavior on social and during press conference's plays a huge role in why he is disliked.

What I mean about his look is all of the above. He doesn't look squeaky clean because he's got the tattoos, wears the giant headphones, flashy clothes, etc. You don't see that from Quarterbacks often.

Not only that, but the way he plays the game isn't how your typical statue/pocket passer plays. He has a canon, and is blazing fast. For me it makes him more exciting to watch. To a lot of people, it makes them think he's more of an athlete than a QB.

Personally, those are some of the reasons I like the guy. I'm all for breaking the mold.

I took it as the "mold" he's in. More of a pocket passer. But it could be those too
Harbaugh advocates are so funny. I admit his childish, lunatic, temper tantrum's were funny at first but became very annoying after year 2. I can only imagine what that guy was like behind closed doors, during a meeting or in the draft room. If he acted the way he did in front of a nationally televised event, it must have been dreadful to witness when he didn't get one of his guys during draft day. I'm glad Kaepernick is back to being himself, instead of Harbaugh's puppet.

Carr's brother was a NFL Qb he was raised and taught how to play the position the correct way. Right Now Kaep is still learning that. but I'm still taking Kaep any day of the week.

Most teams would. I show my Texan friends this thread and they roll over laughing.

Kaep is and will remain our quarterback. Deal with it.

The more posts I see asking for Kaep to be replaced, the happier I feel because I see how bad you guys are hurting.

Was thinking about the whole "doi g stuf outta character" thing.

Dunno if its been said already, but Im thinking maybe a part of it might be reflected in the change in Kaps sideline demeanor. Before this year he was always to himself and brooding. Now he is with the coaches and backup qb. He always said he chose football over baseball bc its more a team sport so it was wierd he didnt engage teammates much. Im sure theres other things mostly behind the scenes but i bet that is part of it.

How is anyone seeing anything negative about Kaep so far this season? His delivery is cleaner and his footwork is vastly improved. He's moving in the pocket and along the LOS, looking to find his weapons. Checking down to RB's. Very clean, efficient, boring QB play which is exactly what we need. I had my doubts but I'm quite pleased about it so far.

And he does seem to be toning down the sideline attitude and off-field/press conference antics from years past.
