He's moving in the pocket and along the LOS, looking to find his weapons. Checking down to RB's. Very clean, efficient, boring QB play which is exactly what we need. I had my doubts but I'm quite pleased about it so far.

And he does seem to be toning down the sideline attitude and off-field/press conference antics from years past.

I was going to ask how you think working with the Cardinals great Kurt Warner may have helped Kaep.

Sounds like you like preliminary results.

Absolutely. I listened to an interview with Warner on the radio, and they asked him about Kaep. He said they had limited time, so he didn't want to mess with his mechanics and delivery too much. But that they focused on footwork, and the mental aspect of what to look for, and getting the ball to your weapons. They watched a lot of video. He said it was 90% mental, and 10% physical. Kaep's play is a reflection of everything that Warner talked about.

Obviously Kaep needs to continue to do everything he did over the summer. You can't just "go play" QB in the NFL. I think he's competitive enough to do just that.

I forgot to mention my favorite moment of his so far. Down by A LOT to the Steelers, Kaep completed a nice pass to Torrey Smith who broke for a 75 yard TD. Kaep sprinted down to Smith to greet him, excited like it was the Super Bowl. That was really cool. No regard for the score or situation, just happy for his teammate. The team will feed off of that positive energy. They lost and the score looked bad, but they never had that defeated demeanor.

Great point. His attitude/ demeanor are a lot more easy going this year. He finally looks like a franchise quarterback out on the field. He is showing leadership with his body language along with his command of the huddle. His foot work is good, his delivery has improved and his head looks to be in the game throughout it's duration. The anticipation throws, as he gains more trust in his receivers, which are moving targets, will come when he gains full confidence in his recievers. Kaep will be a better QB at the end of this season than he was when it began.

A memorable moment of mine so far this season is an odd one. On a scramble, he got smacked along the sideline by a safety (MIN). The safety absolutely leveled him. Kap got up and ran back to the huddle to get ready for the next play. Didn't even allow the safety a chance to get face to face to talk trash. I think Kap, in past seasons, would have got up to engage the defender in trash talking and wasted a good 5-10 seconds of the playclock. This is what happened vs CHI in 2014 when he ended up getting fined.

That's a great example as well.
Kap is getting better at his hard count but we're not taking advantage of teams jumping (see Aaron Rodgers). We need to take those free plays when we get them.
I see a better Colin Kaepernick the Quarterback than any year he has been in the NFL.....as long as he keeps getting better each year, he will win. I read posts and I just shake my head at some of the comments like he has regressed or he looks the same. I get it, most of them don't know football. But, this is a damn good QB and I pray he is a 49er for his whole career. Clean up the drops and o-line issues and sometimes take alittle off the throw, Kaep will be just fine.

I worry poor o-line performance will make it difficult to see him shine and he will be blamed.
Imagine what it would be like having a good pass blocking offensive line?

The QB is always blamed....ALWAYS....but if he can overcome a bad o-line play and tune out any and all distractions that may come up....He will be fine

Thats a great point to make. We're happy with the 5 yards when we should be going deep. I hope someone sees this on the coaching staff

Can't take advantage when refs stop the action
