You guys crack me up.
It's clear that he's generating force from his back leg, which is allll wrong.
A textbook throw is all in the front leg!
Are you even watching Brady throw here? Notice how he's balanced on both feet when throwing, and his transfer from the back to the front foot (that's what I meant about front foot). Kaep's transition isn't balanced, he looks like he's still trying to find it. Have you ever heard them say "step into the throw"?! Probably not, because you don't watch QB's throw as often as I do.
Ok, there's a difference between throwing off your back foot and driving off your back foot. If you're throwing off your backfoot, your balance is back and you're not driving off it to shift your weight from back to front - through the throw. But, driving off your backfoot - like Kaep is seen doing in the video(note the right leg lift - like a golfers when they swing and lift their back foot). Driving off your backfoot is how you get the torque through the throw and turn your hips around. You can't do that if you're on your front foot - simple physics: "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". So, to get his torque moving forward, he has to drive off his back foot.....
What you see from Brady is that he's driving off his backfoot through his front foot. But, you've made it sound like it's that front foot that's creating the whole thing - it's not. We tell people to step into a throw because that's how you get someone to push off their other leg. If you take a step with your left foot, it's your right foot that's doing the work....
