Chryst is about dumb things wayyyyy down.

So, the offensive scheme will actually be dumber than it was when NFC West defenses were calling out the plays before the snap? Wow. Scary the way you know what's going to happen.

They didn't start calling out plays until everything melted down last season, with Harbaugh checking out early.

Look, I hate Roman as much as everyone else, but let's not act he's not capable of championship chess matches against elites. Remember, he even outsmarted Bill Bellicheck and Tom Brady in 2012.

this ^^

No one has to believe my nephew. But we know the truth, like I said, put yourself in Kaep's shoes, wouldn't u feel screwed? Knowing that the front office promoted a QB coach to be in charge of the ENTIRE OFFENSE?!!?

At least Roman was knowledgeable about all the units, offensive line, TE, running backs, WRs. Meanwhile Chryst never showed Kaep a touch pass.

Roman was responsible for the OLs pass protection? He's worse than I thought! LOL!

Hard to believe a Niner fan sticking up for Greg Roman.
surreal

and then he proceeded to f**k up the super bowl with the enabling of the head coach. who gives a s**t about the new england win. the super bowl was the game where he showed his colors at the worst possible time. jesus

The superbowl loss was a collective effort, offense, defense, and special teams failed. I thought that was well established already.

Can you point out how SCHEME beat the Patriots, because it seemed a lot like Kap going off, buying time, making crazy throws, hitting timely runs, and DBs falling down. How much of that was the game plan?

that's the thing. who knows? When things go well, people are quick to point out the players did a great job and say that it was DESPITE Roman. When things go bad it was Roman's fault. Being objective, Roman did an okay job of gameplanning, did really great in 2011 to play the offense to alex's strengths, did great to shift over and introduce the read option when Kap came about, but did a piss poor job of playcalling in certain situations and struggled to get the most out of the talent and adapt in 2014.

Remember, Kaep threw like 4 tds. One to Moss, one to Delanie, one to VD (I think), and threaded a laser to Crabs.

All of those TDs were designed by Roman, he spoiled Bellicheck's plan because they thought Kaep would be doing read option runs.

just like it has been well established ck feels like he is f**ked. it is really cool how you have everything tied up in a nice box with a nice bow on it to fit your narrative

Hmm...Roman was in charge of the run game but not the pass game...but he designed the 4 TDs...pass and run...

then he can not figure out to give the ball to the best run game in the nfl behind the best run blocking line in the nfl at the time to win a super bowl
he runs away from the run in future games when it works
he calls for fullback dives as SOP
he lets two kids and stevie set on the bench while he lines up miller wide right
he calls for a pass play on third and 8 to get us 5 yards,, never mind we were in third and long in the first place because he loved to run gore against nine men fronts on first down
he calls for a toss to ginn at our own one yard line vs the rams
he presides over an offense with lots of talent and lots of unhurt talent last year that scores four points a game per game in the second half of games while the defense knows exactly what we are going to do

but that is all ok because we won a game in 2012 vs new england,, oh and that game was almost a loss because the coaches at the time opted to relax in the second half,,
holy s**t, where is the advil

Yeah I'm sure Bill Belichick was outsmarted in that game by Roman...cuz that Pats defense was so darn scary that year.

Did your niece find this out from Belichick?

We did very little run option running with Kap before the playoffs that season so what the hell are you talking about?

Look, we can both cherry pick wins and failures, my main point is that Roman is capable of playing chess with the best of em, so we should stop painting him as a worthless scum when he brought league wide respect to our offense.

Also I have to ask, how come we have ZERO respect for Roman who's proven what he's capable of, and give automatic respect to Chryst who's pretty much unproven!?!?!

(Just wait, after 3-4 seasons of not making the playoffs CC will learn to even appreciate post-season losses!)
