If Tomsula doesn't replace kaepernick with Gabbert, Bench them both, are you kidding me. 4 interceptions on 10 passes, and Hayne is not returning kicks???
The 49ers are beyond pathetic, last week I could barely watch past the first quarter, this week I am watching most of the game to access just who needs to go.
Kaepernick should be released immediately, screw his guaranteed one year contract. Niners deserve to eat something, even if it's just humble pie.
What a fiasco, niners should be renamed the gold rush buffoons . Better see what Gabbert can do. Too bad they couldn't swap out Jeff Goff from Cal Berkeley who looks like an nfl prototype quarterback, but they would have to lose all their games to make that happen.

No. That's SO unfair to Gabbert to put him in at 38 to 7. Start him next week.

I don't get it, how does he go from showing good footwork, good placement on throws and touch on his passes to this?
That's why I asked if it's just an off day.

Naw...he will either rise a leader or not. But I want to see him finish the game. He's a tough guy and so extremely talented...but can he take this adversity and lead?
On the other hand...if they are ready to throw in the towel today they should play all the second unit guys for experience. Worst game he's had...probably ever!

Hope Kaepernick talks to the team before the next practice and just owns up and take the stiff upper lip approach to practicing for the next game. Take this as a chance to grow.

Kap has been terrible today, but our whole offense sucks again. You would never know Kap has any mobility apart from when he does the read option. We make no effort to roll him out of our s**ttastic pocket on a regular basis. Our receivers are never wide open like our opponents have been the last two games. Just a terrible gameplan when you can't line up and mash the other team.

Yes, because they must play the college "pistol" to play to Kaepers""t's strength.

I think its a mixture that Kap doesn't believe in his oline to hold which is true. And he's having a bad day. Usually Kap would only play this bad against teams like Seattle
