on the 1st possession the offensive line was getting pushed into the back field on run and passing plays.
2nd possession same thing.
how long until you say we need to move this pocket because these guys are playing bad?
i mean hyde had to work magic in order to gain positive yards and usually had to deal with someone in the backfield.

this does not absolve kap on having his worst day as a pro. but it is something to think about along with everything else we've seen from this team which just isn't playing hard enough imo. on either side of the ball. the only unit that has been solid for us has been our run defensive line. that's it.

The Bill Belichick defensive philosophy is to take away what you do best, and make them beat you with what you don't do as well. To win in this league, you've got to be able to do it all, and Kaepers**t just can't do that.
Do what exactly?
You have to played hard or go home. Open the offense completely up and use all of the speed we have or just line up in i formation and run it 3 times up the middle.

Not 1 screen as the cardinals players were rushing up field and racing to the qb. not 1 roll out pass until the 4th quarter. you need to get the team into a rhythm. you need to give the line assignments they can block and you need to get your qb EASY THROWS.
easy throws and then the more difficult ones is how every single great called offense is called in the entire NFL. every single one.
Even the cardinals started out going max protect against a zone defense and gave palmer the easiest throws in the world. not us though.

Get off the one read schtick. He's definitely shown he is more than a one read QB if you've ever bothered to actually watch a game. Yes, he played abysmally today, but it was a matter of poor throws rather than incorrect reads. Get your criticism right.

This loss is 100% on Kaepernick. Period.

A major portion of it goes all the way back to Harbaugh.

Harbaugh drafted him and called him great. However, The Great Quarterback Whisperer proved to be a fraud. He did almost noting to develop Kapernick as an NFL quarterback. To make matters worse, he allowed his ego to overrule his better judgement by sending Alex Smith to Kansas City where he has shown how to deal with a weak OL and still have success. Smith has proved to be not only the better person but the better quarterback while Kaepernick has continued to struggle when facing a quality team.

The previous two games, if you look closely, showed CK really not playing at a level that allows the team a legit chance to win. Blame it on a weak OL, and some of the blame belongs there, but his inability to read defenses and find the quick open receiver killed the team today, and to a large degree, last week.

In looking back at pre-season games, even though they were against second teamers, Gabbert showed how to deal with quick pressure in a way that Kaepernick has never shown. (I can't believe I just typed that but it is true.) Blaine Gabbert showed that he capable of playing in a way CK has never shown.

I love Kaepernick's back story but he just does not have the makeup to play against a tough defense and survive.

Great post.

dj, there was a major league screwup in not giving kap a lot more snaps than the 17 he got all PS. Shame on them....JT, GEEp....Unless there was something we don't know about.

Yeah cause that would of made a difference...

Adrian maybe you are right, maybe not. Either we are terribly bereft of talent or we have terribly bad coaching. To have Ceeps calls figured out like that....is a horrible sign. Predictable. DC...called a horrible game. JT oversaw it all. Man, Adrian, i wonder...is this team a bottom basement rebuilder or not? I wish there were something besides Hayn'es return to take away, but if so, i dont see it.

Switch it up period. Those first scripted plays all 6 of them were probably the lowest percentage plays you could come into a game against the cardinals with.
Run it when your line gets no push. Get yourself into a predictable throwing down and distance situation where they fill the field up with defensive backs. keep your qb in a pocket that doesn't exist and call routes that stop right at the sticks where defensive backs are squatting and waiting on the passes.
you couldn't do a worse job with that beginning if you tried.

Exactly, kap played like crap....but the one read b******t has been debunked several times.

The way the cards were walking up and down the field however they pleased, I don't think this one is all on Kap. Most of it, starting in a huge hole like that, but not 100%. lol

A great QB can change a franchise though. Peyton in his prime can make this team respectable.

Don't call people out about "actually watching a game" when it's evident that you are so emotionally invested into kap that logic criticism about him is just thrown out the window with you. Our quarterback sucks get over it

This offense needs to throw more on first down. There are easy yards to steal there and in the process we would be upsetting some offensive tells (namely first down run percentage).

Guys act like kap does this every game. He hasn't, you don't have a career rating of 90 and over a 2 to 1 TD to int ratio playing like he did today.
today is his worst game as a pro and because today is the worst day he needs to be replaced permanently because he is not allowed to have the worst game of his career at any point in his career. that is the UNREAL expectations.
people will come and say "well we just expect him to not throw 2 pick 6's etc etc." ME TOO i have higher expectations and standards than this for kap it was not good enough. does that mean his entire career is finished? NO. but to the people who only show up after a bad performance. it is.

Rodgers took one of the worst lines in football to the post season. Enough said

I totally agree.

the worse game of his career....but the best post game press conference of his career?

but seriously plays like that second INT cannot happen AT ALL...we are a struggling team that put ourselves a in holes like that.

I didn't mind that 3rd INT...or was it 4th? too many I can't remember.. but the one right after halftime. Throw wasn't perfect and CB made a great diving catch. But we tried to throw down field.

Hope we can start games by being aggressive.... No Blake Bell or Miller out there.... when McDonald is out there..sure use him...but if not, don't stick with the jumbo runs... Throw the ball around....run from the Spread formation. I think Hyde can do damn will with the little guys out there on defense, IF we had our receivers out there.
