The drafting of a quarterback early, as some predicted, never happened.

In fact, the 49ers did not draft a quarterback.

buck, i sure wanted one, but after the two guys we couldn't get, the rest of them except for petty were pretty far down the board. So yeah, a backup for kap, but after DE/NT, WR, CB, ILB, OLB . Once we got past those it was going to be slim pickings at QB and i figured 7th rd or UDFA.

Kap's on thin ice, didn't ya know. One more season like last and he's out!!! LMAO LOL. #KAPSTAYINGTILL2020BOOKIT
South Carolina QB signed as an UDFA...Dylan Thompson.

It's possible Kap didn't even know she was married. At least I'd like to think so.

Kap was doing his job and what Nupes I know do ... Smashing broads! I got an NBA homie I grew up with and tickling guts is what they bout. Matt need to check his hoe! She on a contract, not Kap! I'm sure Matt was cheating first so as far as I'm concerned Matt and his wife the hoes. That tweet by him was suspect and he should hav his playa card revoked pronto

There wasn't anything in this draft beating Kap out anyway. We ain't throwing out a 4-2 playoff 3-1 road QB like yesterday's news. Teams wish they can get a QB that can get them to and win playoff games. Ain't but 7 or 8 QBs in the entire league with better playoff resumes

They picked up Thompson as an UDFA and Baalke says they aren't interested in adding another QB at this time. I don't think many people expected to unseat Kaepernick with a rookie but having a decent backup would be a good idea. Guess they like Gabbert.

Those QBs are Brady Manning Rodgers Brees Eli Roethlisberger Flacco and Wilson. Kap's playoff resume is the next in line because there are no other QBs with as many playoff wins aside from those mentioned in this league. You can't just put anything under center and get to and win playoff games in consecutive years to the tune of that many wins and especially on the road unless that QB is making some sort of positive impact whether it be running or throwing. Kap impacted those playoff games and drafting a QB is no sure thing unless you have Andrew Luck on deck. We got a guy that impacts games and has shown he can so until the next sure thing comes along we better make it work with Kap and be happy he has shown us something as Bill Parcells would say

Its really not debatable.
in the Playoffs Kap has been above average.
although we all get the last play of the Super Bowl and NFCCG.

such a shame as KAP should have 2 rings already.
but he doesn't and thats on him to figure out.

i don't believe the window is closed...yet.

Yes. He should have 2 rings already and those bad game ending plays are his fault at least to some degree. I didn't like the playacting but he had the ball in his hands so he has responsibility for those outcomes as well. At this point 4-2 playoffs 3-1 road is a start as opposed to a large portion of the NFL's starters being 0-0 playoffs

that being said there could have been a better play call at the end of the superbowl

additionally in the NFCCG there was enough time on the clock to call a timeout and calm him down.
still his fault but Harbaugh could have recognized the gravity of the situation and slowed it down.

It is what it is. we move forward!
