Afrikan, i'll raise you one. In addition to above, which I like, I would get away from the predictable O calls we seem to use each game. AZ was waiting for them. Open it up from the first snap. Arians is smart enough to know what we were going to call and had his D ready...and he is the HC (and unofficial OC)...but he had his D ready for what we came with.

Phoenix, trust me, the decision has already been made on that score.

@wgclements: @timkawakami did you hear Mathieu's comment? "Passing game so simple we knew how to jump the routes."

How sad the offense was supposed to get better. It got much worse.
Very good press conference...CK showed leadership, took responsibility in a strong way and this will be appreciated by the team. Go niners!
you know it was a bad game when a picture of kap is on drudge with the title "worst game of his life".

Lol, great. How will this improve his ability to find the open WRs?

Jim harbaugh's passing offense was not simple. we had real effective passing west coast concepts that were used. all you have to do is go back and review every Film thread from past 2 seasons. not watered down at all. we have a college running game that we do play after play. i have no idea what our passing game is.

Interesting take on NFL network comparing Palmer and Kaepernick this game. Palmer taking advantage of the short throws and easy dinks and dunks, while Kaep doesnt even bother to. I agree Kaep tries to play too aggressive; ironically opposite of his predecessor. Both failed projects.

How the hell did we end up with this after having Montana, Young, and hell even Garcia. Christ, it's frustrating

I don't even like Alex Smith and I think this team would be better off with him. How I wish we had Derek Carr.

Well I think with Smith the concern was his unwillingness to take a chance or hit his guys in the mediocre / long routes. He wasn't aggressive enough, and at times it felt like he left a lot of yards on the field. With Kaep it's just the opposite. He never gets rid of it right off the snap (unless the play is designed to), and it seems as if he's looking downfield all the time before he looks for the short looks. It would have been great to have someone that had Kaep's arm and Smith's smarts. Would have been a deadly combo eg Rodgers

But all in all if Kaep fails this season it will feel like we wasted a decade of opportunity on subpar quarterbacks that played on a team with great pieces in place to win multiple championships. What's frustrating is that during this timespan, guys like Brees RW Eli and he'll even Brad Johnson got theirs

yall remember these posts....remember the posters (that shouldn't be too hard..lol)

but I think as an offense, it can only get better and we'll be fine in a few weeks. IF we adjust. Right now our offensive approach and adjustments look JUST like last year.

we have weapons...wish we'd use them.

again, when we are down by 10+ pts...we need to open things up...spread them out, and run Hyde from there. I think he'd do fine from single back or from gun wide.

also, if Bush is not healthy we need to use Hayne for his plays... passes out of the backfield and have him in space... I mean WHY THE f**k NOT????

Yes, I though last week we would open it up a bit but they didn't. This week was even worse as far as running on first and second down and then passing in a long third. Irritating!

Agree we need either Bush or Hayne in the game to open up the short passes outside. Hyde had a very nice one but they didn't go back to it...and he's such and important runner you could use the other guys to spell him. They all have good hands!

He's just talking s**t. They did not jump anything, just bad throws and bad luck all around.
