How he responds next week will be telling. If he s**ts the bed again the coaches may need to sit him to relight the fire.

Honey badger had this to say, "We knew going into this game that the focus for them was to run the football," Mathieu said. "Their passing game has just simplified so much, it was easy for us to anticipate routes, get some good breaks on the ball.
When your Qb cannot read defenses this is the result.

Maybe less commercials & more film/play book study??
Even then he's still not a QB, he's an athlete sure, but clearly not a QB.
Interesting thing, I was listening to Pat Kirwin on NFL radio the other day and he was talking about Parcells yapping about how these youngsters in the NFL become so focused about their "brand" and marketing themselves to make $$$, that they forget about the game that got them there. In essence they lose focus and don't put the time and energy into learning the nuances of the game.
Outside the Mannings, I cannot agree more. Guys like Brady, Rodgers, Brees became commercial Giants after they proved their worth. Whereas "chumps" like Kaep and RGIII spend their time in the gym so they can look good for beats by dre, subway, etc.
Kaep needs to start paying attention to film
any reason you left out Andrew Luck from your "chumps"?
No, I include him too. Dont get me wrong, I'm still on the Kaep wagon. Im just talking about a trend thats been going on in the NFL, as per Parcels and Kirwin. And I tend to agree. I think these "stars" get fame and fortune grinded into their heads before they become famous. You spend all this time doing photo shoots, autograph sessions, commercials, public appearances when you should be spending time in the film room. Based on Kaep's play, and given his hx of marketing himself, I have to include him on this list. But yea, guys like Luck RGIII RW also belong on it.
Dude are you kidding?? Just today ALONE I saw Brady,Manning, Brees and Rogers in commercials. You know who I didn't see? Kaep and RG3.
Please reread my original statement
I did. Kaep is a really hard worker from ALL reports, yet somehow he doesn't work hard enough, like Brady etc?
It's a theory supported by the likes of Bill Parcells and Pat Kirwin, two football minds that have credence IMO. I personally feel that Kaep's ceiling is just as high as Rodger's or Brady's, but those guys became successful bf they became household names, whereas the hype around Kaep seems to be beyond the game itself. I dont know if thats the sole reason behind his struggles (or RGIIIs), but I can see why a coach like Parcells would be upset to see his franchise quarterback out there arketing himself while struggling on the field.

The 3rd or 4th, that one hurt. Threw too far in front of Torey on the crossing route which would have picked up like 20 and then picked off.
Honestly I am not smart enough to know whether Kap can be a good QB or not. But there are times I find myself watching other games, even with scrub QBs, and I ask myself can Kap make that throw. And my mind usually says no. I don't think his mechanics will allow him to make all the throws that a QB has to make.
You're not the only one. One thing that has always bothered me is the fact that Kap has never in his 4 seasons had a game winning touchdown pass. He's failed every time. He only has one game winning touchdown drive in his career, last year vs Washington (Hyde ran in the game winner). In other words, when it comes down to needing a TD to win or even tie, Kap is not someone I have faith in because he's failed time and time again.

The problem isn't Kap, its the low budget coaching staff of neverhasbeens. They are going to destroy his career and he'll be the scapegoat for this wretched season. This is truly worst case scenerio.

Disagree. I agree the Coach's are terrible and are completely lost, but Kap has never been a great passing QB. He's an athlete that doesnt seem to be improving in terms of IQ and decision making.

The QB position in the NFL is an instinctive one, either you have the knack to lead or you dont and Kap clearly doesn't. And now that the defense isnt a top 3 unit anymore that could hide/carry Kap, he/we/49ers are being exposed.

What we're seeing from Kap is what will happen to Midget Wilson once that defense and running game are gone.

Good chance of that happening there too but Wilson is a little bit smarter and more instinctive then Kap but not much.

Kaepernick was bad today, no doubt, but the OLine was just as bad.

- NFL Pick 'em
Just heard a national CBS sports guy put Jay Cutler, RG3 and Kaepernick in the same group of very physically talented young QBs who have fallen far short of expectations with no indication they will every measure up. OUCH!
