If the discussion doesn't at least come up this week......they clearly aren't looking to salvage the season. Perhaps Baalke said NO and are setting Kaep up to fail which will make shipping him out easier.
Gabbert honestly migke give us teh best chance right now.

Starting gabbert is a play for the #1 pick only.

Sometimes a QB just needs a change of scenery before becoming successfull. Young was an example of that.

This is BS. We have no idea how good or bad Gabbert is. He very well could be developing nicely but we don't know. I don't have any faith in this staff to put the best players on the field. None what so ever

Honestly, I think the staff has no say. Especially the QB, they probably need to discuss with Baalke/York. Had this been another HC, they probably make the call but they didn't want anyone who wanted to call their own shots.

JT definitely has to ask for permission

Absolutely..........I just can't see JT being a voice and being a leader. By the way...anyone see how the post game speech went? I missed it. Was he inspiring?
I see JT just as another coach when the camera's pan on him.

Young was on a terrible team.

As was Gabbert before he got traded to SF.....wasn't he? Same situation. He looked good in preseason. put him in. Lets see what he's got. Never know, he could be the savior for THIS season. If the FO wants a story, how bout Gabbert renergizes the season and helps the team get to the SB being played in their house. Never know unless you try.

Back to back INT in the first 2 series... wow
He's capable of something like that, like the Raiders' game last year, but he best that x2
Don't know what it is with that. Nerves maybe... he needs to calm his s**t for the sake of the team. The team won't have a chance with Kaep playing like that.
Decent protection on both plays with the oline.

What's with the beard?
Anyway, Kap has accepted responsibility, but I question his ability to do much better at this point. There is a need for a re-thinking of the Offensive gameplan, starting with the OL. I see no sign at this point that anything will change until mid season unfortunately.

I don't care if he accepted responsibility or not, he just doesn't need to put us in situations like that, period. Hope he redeems himself next week and plays well...

With the way we've played the past 2 weeks...the only thing that would redeem himself would be a win against GB. If he plays bad again....the gabbert talk will intensify. We can still turn this season around, but not if Kaep keeps playing like that.
