Yeah, don't get me wrong about posting his statement. I completely agree. He's a stand-up guy and it's just one of the things I like about him. But if he can't do it, he can't do it. We should know before the season is over. If he doesn't get any better, they'll be looking at the draft. For a long time, I've been pretty sure he was going to progress to the point of being an elite QB in the league. Yesterday's game shocked the hell out of me.

Kaepernick agrees with you.

"Today was 100-percent my fault. There's nothing anyone in that locker room could've done to change that game today the way I played."

This shows that he's not in denial and can man up. Having said that, his outlook with this team looks bad. I don't see a future here.
He has bounced back before (first pass in 2012 playoffs vs. Green Bay was a Pick 6 IIRC).

As much as I like the guy, I'm inclined to agree. If he doesn't up his game, they'll be looking around and why not?

Think it really depends on his team mates. He's had two public friends on the team, Crabtree and Patton. MC is now in Oakland and Patton is getting bonehead penalties. What other players support him? I have no idea and hope his OL understands how hard he works and will have his back. I'm waiting for an OL to have his back today but if they stay mute...

Completely agree with everything you said. I have been a Kaep advocate since he came onto the scene. I found myself defending him a few times over the years. Yesterday was inexcusable, in my book. He looked like garbage in a game when we needed him most. With our secondary looking like swiss cheese and our offensive line shaky at best, he needed to step up and prove to be the leader of this team. Instead, he fell flat on his face. I'm not mad, I didn't throw or hit anything because of the game. I'm just plain dissapointed in him.

Im not defending kap here. He played like s**t, and totally brought my perspective of him into question. But there is no way to know who his friends are in the locker room, or to definitively know what people think of him in the locker room. For all we know they could all be loyal, neutral, or hate his guts.

I think we can tell a lot by the players public comments...who speaks, what they say, etc. Patton made it obvious by standing behind CK during all his locker room pressers last year. If no one comes to his support this week it will be a very bad sign.

Hyde's comments were good because they were factual and non judgemental. But he's a first year starter and I'm waiting for the vets to step up and say something...Staley, Boone, Boldin...and come to think of it, where is motor mouth Boone this year?
If Kap is smart (lol) he should fabricate some kind of injury or something and get taken out of the line up. Then in the off season he should ask for his release he is being set up to be a fall guy playing behind the worst Oline in the league and coached by one of the worst OCs and QB coaches in the league.

So you're saying Kaep owning up to his mistakes was just BS. Deep down, he's blaming the Oline for those picks...?

No the picks are on him but he is being set up to fail.

I disagree, this would make him a coward. If he's truly smart he'll put yesterday behind him and look more like the Kap we saw weeks 1 and 2

Not gonna hold my breath, but I still believe

Me too, sort of. As usual, I'll be fully supporting him as long as he's the starting QB for the Niners. Confidence is shot, but what are you going to do if you're a Niner fan - root for him to turn this thing around.

This. He looked absolute terrible yesterday but the play-calling the last two games has been a complete joke. The o-line is absolutely terrible in pass protection yet they do nothing to counter the pass rush. Was there a single screen pass yesterday?
