So far interpreting Kaepernick for the year, either good or bad seems impossible. Here are his stats for the three games from ESPN:
Minn--17/26...165 Yds...65.4%....83 QB Rating
Pitt----33/46...335 Yds...71.7%...106.7 QB Rating
Ariz----9/19.....67 Yds....47.4%....16.7 QB Rating
No discernable pattern in stats so we are left with our perceptions of his play from viewing...and we mostly likely won't come to a concensus on just how good/bad he has been.

I actually see a pattern here. It's inconsistency. That's always been present in his game, just not as radical as it's been the past 3 weeks. He's got to settle down.

His stats against Pit are misleading. They played prevent the entire 2nd half.

From @jawsespn on 49ers' QB Colin Kaepernick: "I don't think he has the chance to be one of the greatest anymore." And he Truly Believes it.

Whole idea of my question of a top flite QB in draft vs a consensus OT, was to see what you all thot. Interesting.
Reading all this since the debacle, brings the Winston Churchill quote to mind (apologies to him)..."Never have so many written so much about so few".
And you are correct...that film is UGGGLY. Ouch. The inconsistency is consistent.

First 49ers QB in 8 years to throw 4 INTs in one game.
Expected much better from Kaep.

His stats are misleading in game 1 too! He missed wide open WRs all game. Looked bad in the game! Really bad at times! His stat line is really misleading

This is unbelievable. This is his 3rd year starting. 3rd. The way the media is ready to pile on Kap the moment he doesn't do well. Like the literal moment he stinks it is the topic of every major talking point in the damn land.
Doesn't stafford is trash isn't accurate and hasn't been good his entire damn career.
Doesn't matter the dolphins paid Tannehill and he can't compete on an NFL level they don't have a qb problem.
Doesn't matter that traditionally Andrew luck is 6-0 in his division and .500 against everyone else every single year.
Just Kap.
The last qb got 7 damn years to stink up the joint and so no signs and was never replaced.
We're going to give up on Kap after 2 and a half?
and it hasn't been 2 and a half years of losing either.

This is his 5th year in the league...at least I think it is. He's had ample time to learn the system and improve. We all knew the O would have to carry the D and Kap would need to elevate his game. So far neither has really happened. When you peg a guy your franchise QB and pay him accordingly expectations are high.
Bottom line he needs to play better or he will no longer be the hot hand.
