There are things Kap did that are 100% on him. You DON'T EVER throw off your backfoot like he did the first 2 INT's--- while he DESERVES blame for that, does that mean he was the only one contributing to the problem? Does that mean the OL doing a horrendous job of blocking that put the pressure in his face wasn't a major factor in that?

As terrible of a throw/decision as it was, these same people damning him for the throw would be damning him if he just held the ball and took the sack.

And what of the coaching staff for having a laughable game plan to begin with? Yesterday's game plan and adjustments make Singletary look like the 2nd coming of Belichek.

Unfortunately, Kap might not last long term in SF because he has been put in the WORST position possible- be the QB of a team with a crap OL and a defensive minded HC who is severely underqualifed for the job.

Shame on Baalke and Jed York for creating this.

Someone asked yesterday a simple question: "when was the last time Kaepernick looked Terrific"? The general consensus was last year vs the Rams in St.Louis. That was over 12 games ago and over a year. That's not good.

The other question was: "when was the last time Kaepernick had a game winning touchdown pass"? Answer: He's never had one. He's only had one game winning touchdown drive (last year vs Washington) in 3 1/2 seasons. He has many game winning drives in terms of getting us into field goal range, but there have been quite a few times where we need a TD and he's failed all but one. (most notably, the Super Bowl).

Let's face it. Kaepernick isn't terrible, but he's not a great QB either. Someone said it best, he's an athlete playing the QB position. Almost 4 years and he's not only not improving, but seems to be getting worse. I'm not yet saying get rid of him, but only because decent QB's are hard to come by, not because I think he deserves anymore chances. I think he lost that last last year against the Rams in SF when he misfired to Crabtree at the goal line on what should've been an easy touchdown pass (and game winner since there was less than one minute left in the game) and then found a way to fumble at the 1 on the very next play.

I'm ready to move on from Kap, but only when the time is right. We don't want to replace him with someone worse.

Coaches got scared and started running and calling conservative pass plays.

If it gets to that point, you gotta bench the QB, not close the playbook.

Alex was 1-13 on third down in that game,at home!it should've never have come down to Williams.

How was the rest of the team?

The defense had 6 sacks, we rushed for 150+ yards. Carlos Rogers was cooked in the first half. Alex didn't complete one pass to a Wr though. Sound familiar?

Do you remember who our #2 and #3 WRs were that game?

While this game was a serious swift kick in the nuts to guys like myself who really want the guy to succeed and defend him against a barrage of illogical b******t, yesterday was not the norm for him. Let's see how he responds this year. Does he have the fortitude to lead this offense and perform well in the face of adversity? I don't know, but we're soon going to find out. Hopefully this staff can facilitate that to happen by making the proper adjustments.

Against Pit he had just 66 passing yards at halftime and had his other 300+ in the 2nd half in garbage time playing against 2nd stringers. He was actually pretty bad in the first half against Pittsburgh.

Vernon Davis and Vernon Davis, if memory serves.

I dont want to draft another QB yet. I would rather give Kap the protection he deserves before I throw in the towel. Now if he throws 20 pick 6's that mock might change lol

Definitely agree here. I just hope Kap doesn't fall off the cliff all the way before then.

What was it? Didn't Tomsula crap in his pants and told Geep Chryst to call 13 consecutive run plays disregard of field positions after Kap started his meltdown?

That is what I call BS coaching!! Who does that?!

This, and the first half of the Vikings game was ugly until Hyde took the game over close to the half
the elephant in the room, Kaepernick is NOT AN NFL QUARTERBACK, his mechanial and mental issues cannot be overcome, he is not bright enough to understand what his responsibilities are as an NFL quarterback, he is a buffoon bordering on being mentally challenged, if he starts another game as quarterback, all of the coaches, gm etc should be fired. The fans should not stand another week of his pathetic regression

I hope that's not true. Otherwise that is downright pathetic.

Yeah. Its one thing for a player to be shell shoced, but the coaches here were.

They were so shockerd they probably didn't even realize they called a pistol option at their own one inch line.

That's true. People also forget the 2 easy completions Kap missed against the Vikings. So in reality is Kap was good but not great against Minn.

If you think Kap played ugly football before the AZ game you need to rewatch the tape. Not much else can be discussed if there's a false narrative floating around that he played poorly prior to this game (in any half). Kap played within the offense and gameplan in the first two games. He did, literally, nothing wrong, aside from an occasional errant throw or sack that every QB in the NFL makes. He had defenders in his face consistently and consistently made the correct decision. This weekend was a completely different story, but if you're trying to say his entire season has been an extension of this past game, you are seeing things from a completely delusional perspective, imho.

He did ok as a game manager

LOL. The lies our fans tell. Wow.

The 2nd string statement is completely false.

The Vikings game was ugly early because of penalties, a blocked FG, and a muffed punt - all having nothing to do with Kap or even the QB position.

Kap had a terrible game yesterday. Embellishing and outright lying about the other two games is incredibly stupid and does nothing to change reality. It's not like lying by saying he made the mistakes that led to the ugly 1st quarter against the Vikings makes the Cardinals game any different, LOL, so why do it?

LOL. Yup, the 66 passing yards at halftime are a flat out lie. I agree. Not to mention the 2-3 times Kap missed on what should've been easy passes against the Vikings. Nobody said he was terrible against Minn. But even in that game he was showing the same weakness he always has: Passing within the pocket.

LIES I TELL YA!!!!
