Alex was 1-13 on third down in that game,at home!it should've never have come down to Williams.

He also threw 2 TD's, 0 INT's and had a huge run on 4th down in the 4th quarter to bring us into scoring range. How did our running game do that day? Alex carried the offense to 17 points against a D that was choking juggernaut O's all postseason

He also performed better and gave his team a better chance to win against the Giants than Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan and Tom Brady - 2 HOFer's and a potential HOFer - did.

And yes, the QB only is responsible for 3rd downs, because Brett Swain and a concussed Kyle Williams were getting separation like crazy. Did you also forget that we were playing in a monsoon?

Are you really that blinded by bias and hate towards a player or really just that clueless to not understand circumstances outside of a QB, and how crippling multiple 4th quarter/OT muffed punts are?

Smith didn't have a better performance than Brady or Rogers, our defense was way better than the Pats and Packers. You watched it, right?

Rodgers missed quite a few throws against the Giants in the playoffs, but the whole Packers offense was out of sync that day. That was partly due to the Giants defense, but the main reason was that the starters for the Packers sat out the final regular season game. Green Bay had a first-round bye, so Rodgers and his offense didn't get any game action for 3 whole weeks prior to the Giants game and they completely lost their rhythm because of it.

Alex smith sucks less than Kapernick. but neither are blu chip QB's or good prospects or good QB's etc.

Smith is average. KC should be drafting his replacement year in and year out until they find someone to replace him.

We need to draft a QB tommorrow.

Sorry, no draft tomorrow but if you have a computer, google "NFL Draft 2016" and it will tell you all about the dates.

Bro i will be so juiced if we do draft a QB next year though. I mean honestly the possibility is going to get higher and higher, especially with our schedule and the likeliness that we are gonna lose 3/4 if not more of our games. And if we decide to keep the HC next year I could definitely see Baakle and Tomsula wanting to draft a QB to save there own jobs.

You trust Tomsula and Trent to draft a QB?

I honestly cannot say. I would like to hope that they can. Especially if we are drafting at 1:1. or 1:2.. Tomsula not so much. Baalke though ehhhhhhh 50/50.

I don't think we'll have to worry about them messing up the pick if that's where we draft

You are assuming the QB available will be better than Kaepernick. Big assumption...and a rookie. My advice? Love the one you're with! Good advice for married couples and football fans.

Love the one your with? That means youd be telling the Browns fans to accept Brian Hoyer and not draft manziel. Or Weeden. I mean When you know you dont have the right Quarterback you gotta try. You dont just sit around and be stagnant.. We dont have the right quarterback im not content with him and neither should anyone in our fan base.

But to be honest living in the Bay Area im seeing far more kapernick doubters than believers, as it rightfully should be after last year and this year combined. And to be honest, no rookie QB is gonna do worse than what kapernick has done the last 2 weeks. 60 Yds the 1st half against pitt? Or 4 picks in game #3? Ill take my chances on drafting a new QB and shuvling Kapernick to the side lol

If he's the guy who's playing on my team this week? You bet. Or are you a fair weather fan...love them when they win hate them if they lose? No problem with that but it's not my cup of tea.

Edit: Time enough to give up later and still talk QB if that's appropriate. Too early now.

I would be happy with that. None of the expected first round QB's impress me all that much, its actually kind of a lousy year for top QB prospects. Meanwhile there's a whole bunch of potential impact players at OT, ILB, CB, DE and other positions.

The worst thing they could do is draft a QB and throw them to the wolves behind a rickety OL.

I was actually hinting that we'd have new people to mess the pick up if we have 1st or 2nd overall picks.
