I'm guessing that with Torrey Smith, Reggie Bush, Anquan Boldin, V.Davis, Carlos Hyde, Ellington and Patton, Kaepernick is not worried about play-makers.

What about the s**tty downgraded Oline?

The only thing I do worry about now is how our OL will do..

This is where your post went wrong. We aren't trying to be a "fire works" offense. We have been and we are a grinding, bulldozing offense. That is our bread and butter. Strong D, ball control O. We'll probably be in a base 2 WR set.

I don't even understand that take - are you saying the loss of Iupati automatically makes the line downgraded? I can't agree with that. Couldn't get much worse at pass protection than it was last season. And since the blocking scheme will probably be different, I wouldn't assume the running game will be worse without Iupati.

That take is, where did one of the worst pass blocking Olines improve? Do people think that any guy can step right in and become a probowl OL like Iupati? Our oline was by far the weakest link last year and it's pretty much the exact same Oline only now with an unproven starter.

You should already know the logic in NT Jiks...and that is "if they're no longer on the team, we must be upgrading!"...or or ..."It couldn't be any worse, so we must be improving!!!"

Iupati was one of the worst rated pass blockers on the team...if not the worst. What the team gives up in power running they should pick up in pass protection. But this is conjecture...just as assuming Iupati would be better or just as good if he had re-signed.

So much will depend on the new coaches getting the most out of Thomas, M Martin and the other young guys.

I would remind you that Iupati was the worst pass blocker on the team. The other thing to keep in mind is that injuries ruined any chance at continuity so hopefully, they don't have to deal with as much of that this year.

The other thing to keep in mind, IMO, is that Foerster will probably install more of a ZBS and the three newer guys, Martin, Kilgore and Thomas, have quicker feet and are probably more adept in a ZBS. I expect the line to be better this year.

The bottom line here is that Iupati was rated by two different statistical analysis groups to be the worst pass blocker on the team. I don't think the one loss of Iupati means a worse O line.

Yea I get that but EVERY TEAM has a "worst pass blocker on the team".

Iupati had chemistry with his guys, and now we lost that.

LOL! Yes, recall the chemistry when Staley would turn to him after he screwed up and yell at him? Can't buy that kind of chemistry!

More healthy O linemen and the loss of a guy who cant pass block will obviously make us worse...don't you see?
