He thinks Kap's anomaly 2013 passing performance against GB will manifest once again. Or the playoff running bonanza. Not going to happen. He might get a few runs in, might throw a TD pass but his confidence is shot and a lot has happened since the first game of 2013. His passing fell off a cliff the next two games after he torched Green Bay. Jim had to put him into a simplified game manager role for weeks afterwards. It hasn't really recovered. Maybe an OK game against the Cards and Rams in 2014. Overall, the trend is downward. He also doesn't bounce back well. If he has a good game passing this year it will probably be against the Ravens or Bears. Wait...who's the Bears DC? lol Scratch that. Maybe the Ravens or Browns.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say you dont like Kaep

I dont bro, i dont think Phil does either lol

Personally? I don't care what he does off the field. I don't like his (lack of) passing skills. I want a QB drafted in the first round. Yes. Preferably Goff or Cook.

Those people are emotionally invested into Kap bro. No matter what you say to them they wont care. Kaps in the right and your in the wrong. Your stats or logic dont matter, the only thing that matters is there stats and logic which makes kap look good, but when you bring up stats/logic that make him look bad, your just a hater etc.. They cant really have a discussion about it because its almost like extreme politics for them
It's weird how you can throw any other player or coach under the bus but if you criticize Kap's passing game your fanhood or even humanity gets called into question.

Those guys did what Kaep couldn't, and that's finish.
And his QB rating has been dropping every year. That's a fact. Up until this year, Kaep wasn't asked to win games. He let frank Gore and our defense do that.
There a reason teams say make his arm beat us.

And I said let him start, but if he bombs like he did last week. Pull him for the night. The team deserves better, and we deserve better

Could you please define "Finish"?

They won the super bowl.
Or maybe even throw a 4th quarter TD in a meaningful game (hasn't happened since 2013

Meh, Luck has never had the defenses Kaepernick has. Remember 49ers defense shut out the Falcons in the 2nd half and it took until 5 minutes left in the game before the 49ers FINALLY took the lead in that game. Just saying.

And Luck has thrown 12 INTs in 6 playoff games. His defense ain't responsible for that s**t.
If Luck was your QB right now, would you trade him for Kaepernick?

what does that have to do with anything? the Colts were in position to draft Luck....# 1 overall...

we were in position to draft Kap in the 2nd round.

that post is about stats and facts... you are bringing up something unrealistic.

We can't trade for Luck...but damn would you bet on Luck in a Playoff game against a tough team... bet the House?

The point is everyone would take Luck, even with his poor playoffs games.
It shows that not all stats are created equal. And Luck took lesser teams to the playoffs every year, while Kaep had a better supporting cast and failed to make the playoffs last year. Before Luck, the colts were the worst team in the NFL.

Boooooom. Think people forget the colts looked embarrassing when Peyton was out for a whole year. I mean isnt that why they fired the HC that year? Could be wrong but i thought that is what happened. Besides the point Kaepernick inherited a team Alex freaking smith Quarterbacked to 13-3... Sooooooo What does that tell you

Let us begin. All offseason I was pounded and pounded and pounded on here. Even threatened with violence a couple times. Why? Because I repeatedly pointed out Kaepernicks weakness. A refresher:
His throwing motion, delivery advertises ball placement giving defenders time to jump routes. His head and shoulders also advertise ball placement. Sorry, Warner didn't fix it. Nor did he fix throwing off the back foot. He usually makes up for his slow delivery by throwing the ball 200 mph. Well, that's all well and good for mid range passes, and that's what he's good for. Usually to Boldin. Obviously playing in compressed space is still an issue. It always will be. This is why our redzone passing game is atrocious. Kaepernick passing outside the numbers= fail more times than not. In the redzone we have the added "bonus" of a lack of arc. His accuracy on touch passes is not good. Not only that but yards after the catch have been minimized because of his tendency to give away the intended ball location so we're not running it into the endzone on screens etc. It's pretty much why Roman/Harbaugh didn't even use screens. Matt Maiocco has even admitted this. Passing into the actual endzone? Well, this requires roll outs, bootlegs and play action with Kaepernick. A simplified offense with defined reads. Clear passing lanes. Predictable. Usually to the right side. It. Gets. Shut. Down. Easily defended if that's all you depend on. He is gunshy in the redzone now. We can't score. We won't be a high scoring offense with Colin Kaepernick.

His deep ball accuracy has declined each year. It never was very good in college against teams with halfway good defenses. Reading defenses pre/post snap? Well, he hasn't even been able to see blitzs coming at times. Nevada's offense was so simplistic, and Roman had to cater to this, relying so heavily on roll-outs and simplified reads. Now Chryst is in the same boat. What do you do? Try to create "Kap the passer"? He just can't take the snap from under center, sit in the pocket and pick apart secondaries. It's never going to happen. It's not even going to happen with Roman's, ugh, I mean Chryst's simplified offense.

The O-line you say? Well, Kaepernick hasn't been good at consistently getting rid of the ball before the 3 second mark. A few people here tried and will keep trying to blame Roman for this. For "long developing routes". Preseason this year he was taking 3.34 seconds to pass on average. 2014 he took 3+ seconds more than most QB's in the NFL. Pathetic how Gabbert came in and ran this quick passing system so well egh? Kaepernick was sacked 52 times in 2014 whilst enjoying the third-most time in the NFL- - 2.96 seconds to throw.

One thing he did do this year, so far, was look downfield before running. He did it a couple times against the Vikings. His new found no1 fan Dilfer exaggerated kap's "progress" all game but there was that. he did in fact look downfield before running. OK. Did it produce anything? Not really. Speaking of production- ya, garbage time in the Steelers game. I don't even want to hear it. Late in the third quarter with a 30 point lead defenses let up. and why weren't we passing in the first half when the game mattered? Perhaps because not even Tomsula/Chryst have faith in Kap's passing game anymore. Good lord, I mean, in the Card's game...to run 15 times straight with a 30 point deficit. I question Tomsuala's coaching ability. He should have put Gabbert in the game at that point. Yes. Blaine Gabbert should have been playing in the second half against the Cardinals.

This is all pointless, because the small very vocal and very abusive Kap fan base here will no longer be able to deny the obvious after this season. I'll say it now and I'll say it with confidence just like I did before the season started. Kaepernick will not be a 49er in 2016.

#1 - hahahaha all offseason you took a pounding lol

#2 - right on brother!!! I came in here and said that Kaepernick had plenty of time to throw on all 4 INTs. I was blasted and insulted and was called all kind of things. Then the game footage thread came out and they confirmed what I said and not a peep since lol

I remember Phil and I had always agreed with him on Kap.

As for the pounding, folks like us just need to stay strong and basically pound back. I have taken my fair share of pounding here, but by now the homers also know I don't take sh*t from noone and I pound back. I even get banned from time to time, but I will always pound the fxxk back. You can't let these homers push you around. Our views are genuine reflections of what is actually happening and not because we have to compliment on everything the 9ers do.

Was the pounding hard? Or gentle like?

Did anyone buy you dinner before you were pounded? Or was the pounding cheap and unappreciated?

After seeing the tape on the second INT, it still shows that it was Kap's fault, but it is also showing something else. It is showing that Kap is really trying to go through his progressions as taught.

Fellas, this kid is trying to apply the things he learned. But as we all do when we learn something new, we apply it literally rather than finding our own comfort zone and incorporating it to our own movements and tendencies in order to specialize the technique for our own body.

He still needs to improve his actions at the top of his drop. He needs to understand that if the ball is not released at that spot, he must be disciplined with his footwork and use a proper base to move around and help his OL improve their blocking position from his own shifting. This is how QB's like Rodgers and Ben turn what could be a collapsed pocket into a comfortable pocket.

I'm just not too high on his desire to stick with it and trust what he is taught. He seems like he is very stubborn and will not change his bad habits but we will see. I could be wrong.

Hell, maybe his eyes are too close together so it takes him longer to read things.
