The issue wasn't Roman outsmarting Belichick. It was the 49ers taking it out on the piss poor Pats passing defense after our defense shut down Brady and their offense early on in that game.

Roman can't outsmart Belichick even in a how to be Greg Roman contest. 49ers just had the better team and Kap made some terrific plays.

you never appreciate a super bowl loss, never. not when we have a policy of going to super bowls to NOT lose them. the people who say it was ok to go and lose because we had not been there in a long time are a losing mentality type of person in my opinion. oh by the way,, many of us have said, have a open mind to the new coaches, no one has anointed them so you can just stop with the word placing in other posters mouths. i am really happy for you that you act like you are looking forward to bad times as your breathlessly predict four years of not making the playoffs. I'll admit that I would rather make the playoffs but not the Super Bowl if they are to lose...not that it's a choice or under control. Losing that SB still irks me to no end.
