it wasn't just one play. it was a myriad of a tough rookie season. He was supposedly highly touted but i wasn't crazy about him. I wanted weston richberg who went in the 2nd round dang it so the 49ers had no shot to get weston.

Can you give the guy a break? He was 20 years old, a rookie, filling in for an injured Kilgore, with two OGs who seemed unaware that they had two sides of their body...leaving him to block a five foot wide section of the line, with no help. Yes, he struggled at times. But most of the time he looked better than all pro Iupati and Boone.

Never mind...the Warriors are losing and I can't take this seriously!

Plus MM was recovering from an injury of his own. Dude was pretty much hobbled all last offseason and season. I expect a much better year from him this season and a healthier one at that

just start conversations as "I don't/will never like Kap as a person because _______"

Not sure if you guys have young kids, but if you do...make sure they don't look up to this kind of sore loser'ism!

This post is for all the promising young 49er youth. When you lose keep your chin up and give respect to the winner and try harder next time!!!! Don't be like ^ this guy kids, this is what you call a sore loser, and it's not very nice!

You're having fun trying to get a reaction out of the Kaep fans aren't you?

Verb trolling with this s**t

And he's somehow mod-proof. It's amazing this guys even around still. His "49er fan" premise has worn thinner each week, and he's been clearly trolling for reactions for the last month, but the dude's inexplicably bulletproof.

And he takes a barrage of personal attacks also.

Please. He comes in here deliberately asking for the amount and type of attention that he gets. He sitrs the pot th see what happens, then pretends to agree with whomever uses the most articulate and supported argument against his original asssertion. It is classic trolling practice, and he rarely even denies it anymore, he just laughs it off.

True, but it's not malicious enough to warrant warnings.

In any case, to stay on topic, Kaepernick had three major issues that I had problems with last season:

1) Decision-Making: Forcing the primary read no matter what and scrambling and RUNNING OUT OF BOUNDS FOR A LOSS instead of throwing it away. PLEASE.. PLEASE just throw the ball away if it's not there. 0 yards gained is better than -3 or more yards lost.

2) Vision: Looking deep. And looking deep. And looking deep but NEVER looking short or at the outlets. One fundamental vision/progression teaching for QBs is to look high-low. CK endured a lot of pressure because he only looked high -- he REFUSED to take what the defense gave him. Instead of taking the first down or potential big play from the shorter routes, he was far, far to insistent on waiting and hoping the deep route would open up. Too focused on the 50 yard bombs or deep TDs.

3) Touch: Too many rocket balls on the few passes he did make to the flats. Receivers seemed to really struggle catching slants -- even Boldin -- and I think this was also partly due to CK often times telegraphing that route.

Seriously...

Marcus Martin was the least of our problems last year

1. Not sure whether much of this is on the OL and the receivers being erratic. Johnson ran creative routes...CK had to learn to judge what he might do and then hope he did it. Boldin was the only reciever who consistently ran great routes and gave CK a good target.
2. We can never know how much is coaching and how much is CK not taking it in quickly enough, but I recall a great video of Walsh talking about the importance of teaching QBs to scan rather than look. He meant using peripheral vision and actually moving the head from sideline to sideline--click, click, click--as the QB spots various receivers and defenders. It seems obvious but I wonder how many coaches work on this with their QBs? Walsh would tell QBs..."You just told the safety where the ball is going. Look him off, let the receiver run and come back to him."
3. His touch has improved greatly but he still need to learn how to lead the short pass so the receiver doesn't run into a hit or have to stop to catch the ball. QBs with great arms tend to throw more directly at the reciever because they can fit the ball in when he's covered...but that tends to reduce YAC. He has really nice touch in the mid areas at times so I think it's just a matter of practice.

I think it has gotten the poster a warning level of 30%. I have decided not to respond to his posts. I just see no reason to feed him.

On Kaepernick

Point 1. He actually threw the ball away more last year. Kaepernick still needs to continue improving in this area.

Point 2. He needs to take the short passes more frequently or maybe he just needs to take the short pass sooner.

Point 3. More touch. I cringe when I hear people praising the velocity of his passes. He needs to focus on his touch not his velocity.

I am really looking forward to seeing how Kaepernick plays this year. I think the work he did this off-season will prove useful.

Seriously. didn't Marcus Martin come to training camp somewhat injured and continue thru camp injured. His injury wan't serious enough if I recall to put him on pup or something similar at the begining of the season. Plus you (EH) obviously don't realize how important it is for OL to practice together to know how the person beside him reacts. If you don't practice enough together or even get to practice when you are resting your injury.

Sure didn't but the punishment he is about to receive for GETTING CAUGHT CHEATING will
Cheating

Still won the SB lol

Let's get the facts straight, HE (brady did not get caught cheating- the findings by the investigator only said that he he PROBABLY knew more than not know what the Patriots staff did. If the NFL suspends him, he can probably win in a court of law.

BTW-a writer and radio announcer both said it best, it is NOT brady's job to gauge the football if it is within the perimeters. IT IS THE REFEREES job, if they felt nothing wrong, why would Brady, all he is responsible for is if the ball is dry, not slick and to his liking. Just like baseball umpires if the ball is marked.

So I have no problem with Kaep backing the Brady, you still have to throw the ball and drubbing cannot be attributed all to deflated balls.
