Tony Romo wasn't even drafted. Neither was Jeff Garcia. They're both pretty good.

If you can get Romo or Garcia as an UDFA why ever bother drafting a qb at all? ;)
It's just that 99/100 if you're drafting a mid round QB as a backup you can get the same value from a vet without wasting the draft capital or practice snaps.
Of course if you NEED a QB (i.e. the 9ers with Montana, the Hawks with Wilson) the logic is different, but as a backup, I just don't think it's worth it (Brady is our black swan).
