Ryan Tannehill just signed an extension through 2020 worth 96mill with 45 million guaranteed. If Kaep has a great season, we go to the NFCCG or Superbowl, do you any of you think he asks to have his contract redone?

doesn't he get more money if he does those things? like isn't that part of the contract anyway? irrelevant though cause thats not happening

He doesn't get 45 million guaranteed that's for sure. His contract is essentially year to year. What is irrelevant? If he puts up 4,000yds, 30+ Tds and doesn't turn the ball over he may want to renegotiate.

I think Kap is perfectly happy with his deal. He just wants to win because he knows if he does his marketability will skyrocket. He has all the tools you'd draw up the smarts the work ethic and the swag. If he gets his ish together he gonna make a killing selling merchandise
Kap gonna get set free this year.

I was just watching espn and saw some interesting stats. Kap had zero redzone ints last year but also had zero 4th qrt TD passes. That last stat was absolutely shocking to me. That only shows the ineptness of our previous coaching staff. I cant believe Kap wouldn't have thrown at least one 4th qrt TD if given the opportunity!

You just became aware of that?

Partially reshuffled OL, gore gone, new WR/RB/TE to get in sync with, new play calling, plus the D in a major transitional year....he just needs to be consistent and smart. He's expected to be the guy but I hope he doesn't try to do everything.

Actually yeah! Those aren't normal stats! I never even looked out for them. Who would? It ridiculous my friend! But Harbaugh doesn't trust anyone, thats why he can never stay in one place to long. He believes in the system, not the player!

yeah he seems he is fine as long as the team is getting players to help this team succeed. But if they did go cheap, then yeah I'd expect Kap to b***h.

we'll see how the Dolphins do with their CAP in a few years.

we should be potential playoff contenders through out Kap's contract. The only other scenario where I'd think he'd have an issue with his contract, is if Tomsula struggles as a head coach...as well as this coaching staff. Then it's like he is taking a big risk on his contract, while the team is not doing their part.

so we'll see.

In a perfect world. Tomsula would have a knack of keeping the team together. Good moral. The coaches would also have good moral and do a great job with the players.

and Mangini isn't a stubborn dick anymore. In a perfect world.
If he actually thought Luck was the next Manning he should have traded 2 drafts for him. But his ego gets in the way off that!

Define cheap?

The more we pay Kap the less we have to sign other players. If he wants a bunch of nobody's to throw to he would ask for a retarded amount. Guys like Brady and Manning have been able to do that because they make their own D irrelevant by scoring a ton of points. We aren't built for that and our division isn't a cake walk.

That 4th QTR stat was well reported. The 49ers couldn't close to save their lives last year. If they put together complete games against CHI, STL, & OAK, 8-8 turns into 11-5.

It pains me to remember it, but against Oakland the 9ers were only leading for six minutes of clock time spanning the end of the first and beginning of the second quarter.

That game wasn't about not finishing, it was about just getting beaten.

Edit: just checked. The 9ers were also up by a field goal for one drive toward the start of the 3rd quarter.

Both times in the game the 9ers were up (by four and then three) they lost the lead on the ensuing drive. They just got beat, man. Ughh.
