Keep in mind the context under which Kap is referred to as a "thug". It's not because he has a criminal record, or has displayed any violent or "aggressive" tendencies. It's strictly based on appearances. His tattoos, his choice of clothing, accessories or even how he wears his hat. It's an image thing...and that's something is quite transparently racist to me.

Kap is not a thug by any means(Ryan Leaf and Marinovich were).

Kap its just a crappy and useless QB in NFL.

Were talking about ability, not caracter/personality

I m aware of the destructive relation of him to his father.

The guy is now rehabilitated and its quite an inspiring story.

I have never heard Leaf, a criminal, called a thug.
Why would anyone characterize Kaepernick as a thug. He ie not a criminal, he has Bible quote tattoos, he got good grades...I don't get it.

Black people, white people, and Hispanics. And the vast majority of black images are rappers that have thug in their name. This isn't like sticking a flag in a barren land and claiming it for yourself. Just because Tupac rapped thug life doesn't mean black people own the word.
