The Patriots SB MVP in 2001 was Adam Vinatieri. Their SB MVP in 2014 was Malcom Butler. Their SB MVP in 2016 was James White. Sorry, but just defaulting MVP to the QB doesn't make him the best ever.

History will only look at results, but Brady and Montana werent the same caliber of SB performer. Its just the truth.

no sane person would ever call bird the greatest. i don't ever recall boston fans saying bird is the greatest. but many of them will say bill russell was the greatest. and russell does have a legitimate argument.

but MJ is the GOAT for me. not even debatable.

history will remember 7SB apperances and 5SB wins. nobody is perfect. if Joe was perfect then he should've been 23-0 in the playoffs. but he did lose games even with the loaded talent he had around him. it's unrealistic for anyone to be 7-0 in the SBs in the non salary cap era.

You lost all credibility by saying Seahawks fans aren't obnoxious. They have been the biggest chest thumping, classless winners in all of sports that I can remember.

The fans have taken on the personality of Richard Sherman and his cockiness. We're talking about fans who threw popcorn on Bowman as he was being carted off with his leg injury, and then joked all over social media saying "NaVorro Bowleg".

Compare the 9 years since they won their first SB:

Montana '81 - '90: 4-0
Brady '01 - '10 - 3-1

Playoff One and dones:

Montana - 3
Brady - 2

Why do I stop at 9 years? Because that was when Montana last started for the 49ers.

If you follow football, you would know why that is.

If not, let's just say that nobody survives losing a job to injury for 2 full seasons.....esp. when you have a big talent to replace you.

It took Brady more than 5 super bowls to break all of Montana's Super Bowl records, and postseason passing records.

Essentially, Brady was a similar caliber player that outlasted Montana. Credit to him, can't take that away from him.

But it's an essential fact that needs to be brought up because nobody was touting Brady as better than Montana back in '07 (maybe if the pats BEAT the giants they could have had the talk).

2008 misses 15 games.
2009 one and done brutal home loss against Baltimore, 33-14?
2010 one and done home loss against the Sanchez led Jets, about a month after blowing them out

2011 you could argue that the Ravens choked....didn't the guy drop a surefire TD at the end? I forgot the exact details but the Pats escaped winning, and Brady admitted he played like crap in that game.

Montana in '93 and '94 at an older PHYSICAL/BATTERED age than Brady is now did some really cool things. Unfortunately for KC, Buffalo was the AFC team of the '90s.

Warrior fans showed up in droves for years while the team was totally hopeless. The arena in Oakland never looked like Levis these past two years. The fans have been knowledgeable and engaged for years. How long have you been a fan?
