Montana getting injured on plays that are legal today doesn't mean he would've been playing for 15+ years with today's rules.

Brady has taken bigger shots from bigger players and continued to play. And Brady's durability is in large part due to his own training and ability to move in the pocket and adjust protection so he doesn't get hit as much.

The idea that Joe would miraculously stay healthy with these new rules is silly and flawed.

Not to mention Brady played several years before the rules were changed to really favor offenses. And there's the fact players can still hit someone illegally and injure them with the new rules. It's not like those rules being in place physically make it impossible for QBs to get hit a certain way.

What do those rules have to do with today's NFL having bigger, stronger and faster players than what Joe faced?

I get that this is the 49ers board so some people will never say Montana isn't #1 unless it's him being replaced with another 49ers QB but Brady is clearly number 1 if you're asking this in a non biased spot.
