Different ERA of football. And if there's one thing I've learned about this debate for ALL QBs throughout the history of the NFL, comparing achievements from different eras when the game was different is pointless. Just can't compare eras with "numbers".

This has already been addressed plenty of times.

Montana getting injured on plays that are legal today doesn't mean he would've been playing for 15+ years with today's rules.

Brady has taken bigger shots from bigger players and continued to play. And Brady's durability is in large part due to his own training and ability to move in the pocket and adjust protection so he doesn't get hit as much.

The idea that Joe would miraculously stay healthy with these new rules is silly and flawed.

Not to mention Brady played several years before the rules were changed to really favor offenses. And there's the fact players can still hit someone illegally and injure them with the new rules. It's not like those rules being in place physically make it impossible for QBs to get hit a certain way.

lol, TB has never taken a hit as bad Montana received during normal games

Sad that you discredit the rules having any effect when the rules were placed to protect QB and WRs
