Brady is going to his EIGHTH super bowl. That is four more than Montana. Absolutely insane...

Different ERA of football. And if there's one thing I've learned about this debate for ALL QBs throughout the history of the NFL, comparing achievements from different eras when the game was different is pointless. Just can't compare eras with "numbers".

You could until Brady surpassed Montana

Weird

+ Show all quotes lol, TB has never taken a hit as bad Montana received during normal games

Sad that you discredit the rules having any effect when the rules were placed to protect QB and WRs

Brady missed a year because of a hit.
no way

Yeah, he missed the rest of 2008 after getting hit in week 1.

But Joe missed all of 1991 and essentially all of 1992 with SF, along with chunks of 1986 (?) where Jeff Kemp played while Joe got back surgery.

He missed a game in 1989 I think.

That's all off the top of my head.

amazing when you think of it like that

Ha ha ha!!!! We did it a lot more comfortably as well!!!!
Put brady in montana era. He doesn't last 4 seasons.

Put joe's niners in the patriots division the last 12 years with todays rules. Do the niners lose a super bowl?

Jerry Rice in todays NFL? Joe with todays rules? UNSTOPPABLE.
GOAT = Brady

How the hell would you know that????
Meh. Joe played in a man's league. Not this powder puff crap they've watered down. lol
Watch how Montaná was treated. It's called YOU TUBE.
You can't even compare the 2 eras. How the QB was treated. How the receivers were treated. Today, both are treated like they are porcelain dolls. Cmon man, watch some Highlights of the greatest QB to ever play the game. JOE FU**** MONTANA.

so a 6'2, 205 LB human being is more durable than a 6'4, 225 LB human being. make sense...i'm sure players in the 80s were also bigger and faster than player today. poor little Brady would've died before TC as a rookie.

Why are we still debating this?

It's okay to love Joe Montana and still know Brady is the GOAT. It doesn't make you less of a Niners fan. The arguments against Brady are just stupid at this point. How many freaking Super Bowl appearances (and wins) will it take? 10? 15? Just admit that there is nothing Brady can do to overcome your fan bias and leave it be.

Yeah Brady is the GOAT and all he has now is just further pad that fact
Seems as there were teams back then were also tougher, and feared. Steel Curtain, Purple People Eaters, Orange Crush, etc. No teams have that now, and it seems it's anyone's league. Point being, Montana played in a much tougher era.

Nostalgia is hell of a drug.

Brady is the GOAT and it's not even close anymore.
