Montana:
1982 strike/replacement season. Some teams played starters for the 3 games who balked at the strike, others didn't. Messed up the whole season for everybody.
1983 BS DPI call in the NFCCG against the Redskins.
1990, Roger Craig fumbled at the Giants's NFCCG with 3:00 left at the Giants' 30 in a defensive slugfest.

Brady would be dead right now if he had to suffer the hits Joe did. All-time offense SB record in the 3rd qtr??? Give me a break.
Montana never lost a SB and lost chances to win a few more. He had a chance with a weaker Chiefs' team!!

You're right, no question. Joe Montana the Greatest of All Time. Unless you want to argue Otto Graham and his 7 championships, you've got me - before I was born.

Would he? Because I don't ever remember him having to score 41 to win.

Are you kidding?

Damn.... WRs can just run free now...nobody gets murdered for crossing the middle of the field...

Jeez.... Any QB with a historically quick releases that can actually use it at will in todays NFL would be insane..... add in Montana's vision an brain, he would SLAY under the current passing rules...

I'm not saying he couldn't just we're in a league now where every game is decided by under a TD because of free agency, anyone can put up 300 yards of because of restricted rules.

We played with top 5 D's and run games in a league where d mattered. Our d's hut down Marino, Elway. That doesn't happen today.

You play that SB today Marino will put up 35 against our d too.

Ronnie Lott does not turn grown men impotent one hit at a time in todays NFL either.

When there rules make it easier for the skilled thrower to use his ability down after down...you bet on the most skilled throwers.

FEW humans on this planet have ever delivered the ball as quickly with as much accuracy as Joe Montana.

Are you saying you would bet AGAINST Joe Montana with todays passing rules?

My GOAT doesn't lose the SB 3x's let alone to a backup QB who contemplated retirement this past offseason.
Tom Brady lost to a guy making 1.75 mil last year whose contract option for this year wasn't exercised by Andy Reid.

Let's just pretend defenses are on the field and turn the Super Bowl into the NBA all-star game. Then the NFL pretends Kap and protests are the problem.

Brady is one dimensional. Should play on defense too. Montana played on defense to make sure Niners were one the best defenses in the 80s.
Crap. Jim Kelly, John Elway, Dan Marino, Dan Fouts, Phil Simms. Joe Theismann - any of those guys from Joe's era could've ripped it for 500 yards with today's rules, open receivers and if you hit the QB hit him nicely! Joe beat them all.

Hands of stone. Dropped easiest catch which would have went for a TD. Montana catches that lol

Brett Favre (48) and Steve Young (56) could have thrown for 500 yds today against that s**tty Eagles defense and the above.
