I'll give Brady credit here......
He gave us our franchise QB thanks to his insecurities.
We'll be back much sooner than most think

He's won more times than Joe. Joe gets the not participating in a game award. Yeah 5th place is better than a silver medal.

When Montana had a performance like this (Denver), his team won 55-10. Do you think Brady would've won if his defense allowed 10 points yesterday? (Hint: yes.)
Brady is the last person to blame for the game yesterday. Good grief.
Brady played very meh in his first Super Bowl appearance but people use it in GOAT conversations why? Because he drove down the field for the win when it mattered.
Last night Brady played good the whole game but then when it came time to pull off the win against one of the worst defenses he's played in the Super Bowl? He coughed the ball up.
So which is it? Is it about stats or is it about delivering in the moment? Brady fans can't have it both ways.

That's not true. He's not retiring this year so NE had to pick Tom's final year or 2 or Jimmy.
Boy did they pick wrong but they picked the short term.

The bottom line is how he acted when the backup is a star on the rise; teams have shown they would rather go in that direction once the backup has shown he can play in the league.
Latest case-in-point......the Chiefs saying good luck to Alex Smith in the Nation's Capitol when Mahomes proved himself in one game.

I've never been a fan of the train of logic I just mentioned above, but 99% of Brady fans (including the ones in this thread) have used it as his biggest attribute.
That's because he has 4 game winning SB drives. Now 3 times where he fell short too.
Everyone loses though at some point except for MJ.
Not Joe in the SB.
GOAT
This generation prefers quantity over quality. LeBron and Brady play for the title on a regular basis, but are susceptible to losing it.
Montana and Jordan used to NEVER lose in those opportunities. They played their very best in the biggest moments. Brady/LeBron are 8-8 playing for the title. Montana/Jordan were 10-0.
The participation award generation.
And the generation who always wants to say THEY witnessed the greatest ever.

It's not on Brady that NE picked him. You think Joe or Favre wanted to be traded? Joe wouldn't show up to any event Steve came to for like a decade.
Time runs out and the organization has to pick. NE picked wrong but it's not on Tom.

To me there is no choice...#16 all the way.
Brady had 91 yards to go FTW.
Montana had 92.
Montana > Brady but who could slight Brady when Joe is his idol?

I agree. 49ers fans are very insecure and irrational about this topic. Instead of appreciating their own greatness, they feel a need to rip tom brady. Case in point, a 170 page of a useless thread about brady vs montana.

No one in their right mind would ever make that argument.
Why not? Who would want the 2 losses? Even Peyton's wins were a joke. He faced Rex Grossman's Bears, and then won a freebie with Denver's D when he was washed up. He even admits he didn't do anything that year. Eli won 2 SB MVP's against Brady.

With a chance to win the game Brady turned the ball over. That's a fact.
Why are you trying so hard to prove Brady is better than Montana on a 49er fan forum?
